I came too holmfirth in july and came back on monday 06/11/2017 until the tuesday 7th. Im a big last of the summer wine fan and myself and my partner went too sids cafe. I expected too pay a lot as its a famous cafe but fair play the prices was excellent and reasonable and the lady serving was friendly. I bought a few souveniers from the cafe as i live in north wales but must admit anyone visiting holmfirth must go too the cafe as its clean, the choice of food is good and its a friendly place and the prices are fair and good value for money.
Brilliant little cafe staff very friendly & curtious also very polite been here every time we visit the area also food is spot on recomend this cafe all day long
It's a must go place for fans of The Last Of The Summer Wine. Lovely little cafe, staff very friendly and the food was nice aswell. Definitely will pop in again if I'm ever in Holmfirth.
Really nice place to stop off a little place of telly history with friendly staff and nice food.
Really enjoyed visit lovely staff best christmas cake i have ever tasted and good coffee
Very friendly & fun staff, superb coffee & food, and a lovely atmosphere to the place! Just what we needed halfway through a motorbike ride in 3 degrees! Thanks ladies. X
Friendly staff. Had a lovely cup of coffee. Hubby had a cup of tea which was also good. Both had crumpets - very nice. Good atmosphere.
Had a bite to eat and a brew in one of the most famous cafés in the world. Absolutely top draw.
Gorgeous fruit cake, brilliant cup of tea and very friendly staff. Thank we enjoyed our visit.
We had a great time! The pint cup of tea and very friendly staff excellent trip out :)
Only been a couple of times but it's magic, a must visit and pop in for a cream tea, lovely A +++++++
A visit to Sid's Cafe here in lovely Holmfirth is an absolute must for all fans of the BBC TV longest running sitcom, 'Last of the Summer Wine.' I had a nice cup of tea, bought some super TV 'Summer Wine' character postcards and soaked up the rather special atmosphere of this very unique place! Nice, friendly staff and a very interesting and memorable picture and photographs display from this classic TV show. Thank-you. Loved it! Not to be missed! 🙂
A delightful little cafe famous for its appearance in the classic comedy..
Last of the summer wine..
Many references to the series and the cast are on the walls inside and I loved looking around the café as we sat and had a coffee..
Seats are available inside and out but are very limited so it may be difficult to get when it's busy so please be aware that there is a seating area around the back of the cafe also ..
Staff are all very friendly and welcoming
So we very much enjoyed our visit
It’s a piece of television history and I he food is brilliant, a Must visit
Lovely atmosphere. Pleasant and polite staff.
Out of this world mars bar crispy! it went down a treat with a hot chocolate.
Although it’s small it would definitely be worth the wait to get in.
Lots of memorabilia and souvenirs to buy.
So glad I got to visit you today.
Wish I could have taken a photo outside, there were people outside so didn’t think it was appropriate.
I did buy a few postcards inside though and managed to get one of the cafe on the postcard.
I loved watching last of the summer wine when I was younger.
Tucked away this is a little touristy venue for those nostalgic about the last of the summer wine. Despite that it is actually a cracking little cafe with somewhere to sit outside. Price was reasonable bacon and egg sandwich was very very good with quality ingredients. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Next time I go past I will probably pop in again.
I went in for a cup of tea. Staff friendly and a nice atmosphere.
Had a lovely day in Holmfirth. Me and my Dad enjoyed our visit to the cafe. Nice friendly staff and a lovely cuppa. Would recommend
Fantastic place to visit seeing the places where the last of the summer wine was filmed
Went to sids cafe after a walk round is very small but very freindly. Was nice not to feel like you was been ripped off as reasonably priced would recommend 👌
A very quaint cafe full of memorabilia from Last of the Summer Wine series. Very pleasant and helpful staff served is delicious scones and tea in Sid's Cafe tea pot, very authentic.
I really enjoyed my visit yesterday! A lovely pot of tea. There are different souvenirs also available to buy should you wish. A wonderful little place that I'm glad is still there, a must visit for any LOTSW fan!
The perfect place for fans of 'Last of the Summer Wine', but still a nice and friendly, cosy little café even if you aren't. A great find on a cold and wet afternoon. If you're looking for "Sid's Café' in particular, be aware that the "Sid" part is hard to spot. 🙂
Just like in the series, well at least from the outside and interior furnishings, the menu is slightly different to Sid and Ivy's offerings. Enjoyed a lovely coffee and scones with cream excellent value for money, some lovely photos and memorabilia of the cast. Well worth a visit.
The best cafe in Holmfirth, me and my mum visited a few times whilst we were staying in Holmfirth at nora battys cottage. Lovely food and friendly staff
Nice staff, a selection of coffee's including instant which makes it above and beyond in my opinion. There is also a last of the summer wine snow dog outside at the moment.
Great to be in the cafe from last of the summer wine and see the other locations where they filmed.
A small but cosy cafe with a small menu,
No parking.
Seating in and out, and there are a few cardboard cut outs of former cast members for your selfy photo.
Its an experience that won't break the bank.
We stopped off in Holmfirth on our way home as we wanted to visit Sid’s Cafe as seen in Last of the Summer Wine.
We didn’t pop in (as we had our dog with us) but was good to see the place for real.
Next time we are up this way we will try to pop in for a bite to eat!
Lovely staff, great prices and the food and drink was nice.
