Nice clean place with really nice food.
This was my first visit here having found it via Google, and I have to say I will definitely be going back. All three courses tasted superb, excellent portions sizes, and the salad was fresh. I wouldn't be afraid to try new items in this restaurant because I trust they would be of the best quality.
The staff were great. It seemed a busy night but the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by a young girl and shown to our table. We needed a few extra moments to decided on our dishes and all too often this can result in you having to wait a while before the staff come back but not here. The very attentive staff identified we were now ready and came to take our order.
All in all, great food and staff, reasonably priced. We could not fault it.
Had "Catch" on my list of places to visit for sometime. You don't see that many fish and seafood restaurants this far inland and as the reviews where good gave it a try.
Starters were a simple dressed Whitby crab with a nice crisp salad and brown bread (marks off for not being homemade), Sue had the smoke salmon which was really good quality.
Main event was a huge halibut steak with slow braised oxtail and creamy smooth mash and kale. Sue opted for the salmon and pea risotto, topped with (for me the star of the show) smoked salmon and cream cheese croquet.
The portion sizes where very generous and washed down with a few IPAs it was a filling experience.
One to try if your a fish lover, not pretentious just good cooking that lets the ingredients speak for themselves.
When looking to have a short stay in Holmfirth, one of the restaurants that i liked the look of was the Catch and it didn't disappoint, good drinks selection on arrival, we had booked a table ahead, I'd already looked online at the menu and knew what i was going to have, but so much choice, that's if you're a fish lover, only down side i live to far away for another visit, but maybe one day.
Very nice fish and chips, lovely service. Definitely worth a visit!

Great little place, food was excellent and service great. We had the Seafood platter for 2 to start it was huge, could have done 4 people, it was delicious. Signature Seafood grill for main and again huge and superb, couldn't eat it all, bit got a doggy bag for later. Beef dripping chips are lovely just like when I was a kid.

Had to wait a little while for meal but was well worth the wait . Beautiful light batter and thick peice of haddock plus a side of mushy peas . The fish rarebit was equally as nice. Big portions too .

I'd thoroughly recommend a lunch visit to this restaurant. Only a 10 minute walk from the centre (a great way to work up an appetite). The lunch menu features offers on two-course and three-course meals with the full menu remaining available. The quality of the fish is very high and the food very well cooked and wonderfully presented.

The King size Fish was Full of Flavour as were the chips as they were cooked in beef dripping in which is the best way to have Fish & Chips in my opinion,as I consider myself a connoisseur of Quality Fish and chip restaurants.Considering the Quality of the food,I think its worth the £9.55 including a Drink to Takeaway.
I will be Back again in the Distant Future.....

A nice place to eat we called for lunch was given a choice of menus we had the 2 course for £16 was worth the visit will call again.

Always stop here for a Takeaway Haddock and Chips when in Holmfirth, best fish and chips I've had. Very friendly staff and efficient.
Been for dinner tonight as a family of 4 and was excellent from start to finish. The customer service is excellent and the food was amazing. Good portion size and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. All meals thoroughly enjoyed finished off with a hot coffee and a ice cream. Highly recommend was worth every penny.
What a gorgeous meal we had at Catch Holmfirth. Lovely atmosphere but even better food including possibly the best seafood linguine I have ever had ( and I’ve had plenty!). Apparently the kitchen had been let down but the woman who ran it this evening has serious talent! Thoroughly recommend it!
