This restaurant is the one we choose for special events, this one was our 50th wedding anniversary meal which we shared with our kids and two of our oldest friends. As usual the meal and service was faultless, and the singer Irie J made the evening even better a top notch entertainer.

Had a large birthday celebration at the weekend and they had the perfect table for us. The food was fantastic and very quick service. The staff were amazing and truly made the evening special for us. The young woman and young man who served us were great fun and made us feel so important. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back again!
Maffias is a great place to eat. The service and food is exceptional. Great energy in the restaurant. They have a beautiful south west facing courtyard, perfect for the sun. Really made my wife feel special for her birthday, we will be going again and cannot recommend enough.
Atentative staff were very helpful and pitvup some balloons and banners for a family occasion. Good food but not fine dining, reasonably priced. Expect £50 for three courses with a drink
Just had our dads 90th birthday celebrations at Maffias. It was amazing. My family travelled over from Ireland and around Europe. What a welcome they were given. My dad was made feel so Special. The food was delicious. Service fantastic. George was incredible. She was such fun and just an incredible waitress and hostess. We look forward to our next visit 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Really good New Years Day meals for our party of 6 a wide variety of English style foods reasonably priced for three courses about £25 per head friendly atmosphere with accomodating staff.

I haven't been to Maffias for a couple of years. I went there to meet up with some great friends, for a catch up. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, staff very polite and welcoming. Service was great. A lovely place for a meal out.
1st time at this restaurant but won't be our last. The food was tremendous. My wife had the smoked salmon to start followed by the lamb, which she said was of the highest quality. I started with the pea & ham soup, followed by wing of skate. This was superb. The restaurant was very quiet, only 3 couples in, all of whom were visiting for the 1st time. This place deserves a visit.
Sort of upscale but not pretentious. I'd give the service an eight out of five: the best of Essex.

Wow, just had the most amazing Sunday roast at Maffias brasserie in Holland on sea.
We both had the Platter of roast meat, Pork, Beef and Turkey and it was huge, so glad we didn’t have a starter. The meal came complete with vegetables and for £15.95 it was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be making this our regular booking.
Another great Sunday lunch at Maffias in Holland on Sea. Good attentive service. 4 different Sunday roasts all arrived together, hot with lots of different sauces and 2 huge bowls of vegetables. Lovely.
