I stopped by with a few friends on our way back to London from the Lake District. Had a brief walk in the grounds and house and popped in to the tea room for tea and a bacon sandwich to escape the rain. The food and drinks were really good and the service was top notch and staff were very friendly and attentive. Hoghton Tower is a beautiful place which is rich in history and a great place to see and explore. It feels like you're going back in time and I can imagine the Lords and Ladies of the past and King James I feasting in the marvellous banqueting hall.

I didn't think I could be anymore in love with the tower than I was when I visited as a child. However, our wedding ceremony and reception this Saturday proved me wrong. The outstandingly beautiful building speaks for itself but the magic truly comes from the attentiveness of Elena, her lovely family and the helpful and friendly staff. Everyone has commented that the wedding and venue were perfect and we appreciate all the help, guidance and coordination provided throughout our special day. The Irishman's Tower was the perfect hideaway at the end of the day and waking up to the views and grounds such priveledge. Thank you so much for allowing us to hold our wedding with you. It was everything we dreamed of and more. Xx

I was lucky enough to week with the team at Hoghton Tower over the weekend, it was stunning! The team in duty looked after the Wedding guests superbly and ran the whole day and night so efficiently and fluently. I cannot wait to work there again in the near future. X

We have had a wonderful magical visit to see Santa this morning. We had 14 children with a range of ages, all were catered for and loved the experience. We were made welcome by everyone not something you would usually get with young children in a stately home. Well done and thank you. Book us in for next year.

After enjoying a tour of the historical house and time to take in the stunning views of the Lancashire countryside from the walled gardens we enjoyed afternoon tea in the cosy , informal tea rooms. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon

We simply had a pot of tea and carrot cake (lovely). Looking around we couldn't help but notice the Gorgeously, Scrumptious looking, towering cake stands, filled with delights served with the finest looking china. Not sure if you have to pre-book this but WOW! I think we shall have to do this soon.

Nice little coffee shop, but very quiet as there weren't many visitors to the Tower that day. Sadly, they had no sandwiches when we were there (no delivery apparently) - I'm sure they are normally fine.

Lovely staff and atmosphere. Could do with some more hot variety food. But tea and cake was lovely.

Lovely tea room, although a limited menu it was fabulous food. When we go back will definately book an afternoon tea as they looked amazing when we saw them being served.

A fascinating place. I have lived very close to Hoghton Towers for years but have never visited before. The guide (Eric) was a mine of information, and explained the hustory and key events that occurred in the history of this building. Well worth a visit.
