A BIG thank you to all the staff on duty last night (14/10/23) for helping to make my friends birthday meal so special. The food was delicious and you went the extra mile decorating the table and presenting her birthday cake. Thank you all.
First class menu and food, very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Steak and kidney puddings are excellent, just like my mums. Staff polite and efficient. My friends had roast dinner which was enjoyed. Custard on the menu would be good as it goes with sticky toffee pud.
We were greeted very warmly at the bar, and shown to our table, by a lovely young lady. We ordered drinks, and food, both of which arrived very soon after. I ordered the steak and ale pie, and was one of the best I've ever had , it was full to the brim with beef, and the pastry was thin and crisp,se
Very nice and cosy traditional English pub restaurant nestled in the country panes of Lancashire. Warm, clean, friendly attentive staff and a log burner completed the homely atmosphere. Don't come here looking for a cheap eat, and remember quality is always worth paying for. We skipped starters and
Visited for the 1st time after passing every day on my way to and from work. Surprisingly spacious inside and we received a friendly welcome on arrival. Table service was top notch but not pushy, and the food was delicious. We had 2 courses followed by a gorgeous pudding which we couldn't resist! Lo
Visited for the first time recently, and I couldn't fault anything. The service was excellent, and all seemed to be timed perfectly. Despite being busy, everything was taken care of efficiently. Each of our three courses was cooked and presented to a very high standard. I look forward to our next vi
Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere, the staff are really friendly and very personable. This is easily one of the best pubs I have ever been to. The fish and chips were to die for. My fiance had steak and kidney pudding which I was jealous of, but both meals were fantastic. Double fried proper chi
Visited The Royal Oak Riley Green and have to say how lovely the food was! It was freshly made and service was to a high standard from start to finish! With the cost of living crises we only treat ourselves to a meal out every now and again as I'm sure most of the world are the same. We will be vi
Really good food at reasonable prices with excellent service too. Meals are very good quality. They also have a vegan menu.
Excellent food, quite busy on arrival at 19:30 but no issues. Would recommend booking a table in advance to ensure avaliable. Service very good and food had a wide choice to cover vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters alike.
Stopped for Sunday roast, lovely meal beef cooked perfectly. Not everyone would like pink but it was beautiful. Portion adequate however pricey. Service friendly and you are allowed to bring your pet ( as long as is clean and well behaved- 😀 thanks god ours was)
The food as always was very nice. Unfortunately when we visited it was extremely busy - standing room only. Although there where lots of staff the service was very slow.
We've been coming here occasionally, for decades. It's a quaint and atmospheric "olde worlde" pub, with exposed beams and low ceilings, that's very cosy in winter. Food is decent, if a bit on the expensive side, and service is prompt and friendly.
We went yesterday at five. The food and the service was superb. Lovely atmosphere. We have been before and will definitely go again.
Absolutely gorgeous place, everything was outstanding! We really enjoyed food, drinks and desserts. Free parking and very nice atmosphere
Lovely meal with friends. Great food and friendly staff.
Had a lovely mid week meal here, delicious food and wonderful waitresses, Emily, Chloe and Megan, very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Very impressed.
