We had been recommended The Boot by various friends, and last night finally got to see what all the fuss was about.
The interior is simply stunning, it's a very warm, welcoming environment that has been well thought out and feels very safe (Covid related)
The staff were professional, welcoming and attentive. The food and drinks were out of this world. The flavours on the jackfruit fritters and aubergine were heavenly. I'm still thinking of them now. We loved our experience so much we booked back for a Sunday roast later in the month.
I had been standing at work all day so had a bit of a sore back and I found the chairs a little hard but I barely noticed this as the food and drink was so incredible.

The food is good quality and the wine list is quite extensive. Catering for kids is decent and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The vegan choices are excellent and their is a good range of dietary requirement options too. There has been a slight dip in the offering since it opened a couple of years back, for example, they no longer provide entertainment (colouring and quiz placemat) for children but the food has been relatively consistent.
Lovely to have the restaurant open again. Staff were very considerate to how comfortable we were with proximity during plates being passed and wine opened. Service was fantastic and staff clearly well trained for service in COVID times. Food was high standard (as usual). Perspex dividers on wheels between tables are subtle and non intrusive. Great care gone into the reopening. We will be back soon - thanks
Really great selection of food for all the family. Been here several times and loved it. Food is great and service prompt and friendly. Parking is limited but managed to park up the road on a few occasions. Can't wait to go back!

The staff were wonderful, friendly and attentive. Covid regulations were clearly explained and we were given the option of a more distanced service too.
The food was incredible, both my partner and I enjoyed it immensely and I would recommend The Boot to anyone. Especially if they want a perfectly cooked leg of duck.
When the bill came the machine didn't give me the option of a tip and they were not accepting cash (I wish I had asked to up the card payment) so for now this review will do but I will revisit at the next opportunity!
I had a fillet steak and it was cooked exactly to medium rare, how I ordered it. They have a good wine list.
Very professional and helpful service.
There was no fault with my visit to this cute, traditional feel pub.
