New look & great food. Tried out the new restaurant & all very impressive. Drinks menu is extensive and the quality of food is great. Good service & atmosphere, will def be back. Kids menu had a good choice and very good portions all round. Reasonable prices for the quality, will take cash for tip next time.

Reopens this week after a major refurb, new menu and different owners and we were one of the first customers. Modern, accessible, disabled loo, level access - lovely menu lots of choices and Poppy our server was lovely. Staff very attentive!
Absolutely stunning, picturesque building, so quaint.
Service brilliant and the food is delicious. Cocktails available too..Will visit again.
We had Sunday lunch at the Cat & Fiddle on October 29th 2023. We had booked a table the day before which was good as the place was very busy on Sunday.
We were given a table in the restaurant area which had very comfortable seats.
The service we received by ‘Ruby’ our waitress was excellent and very attentive to our needs.
We both ordered the Pork-belly roast, which was delicious and my wife’s Pavlova desert was something to behold.
We will certainly return when in the area and have no hesitation in recommending it.
Very nice although we booked and the table we were going to have was near a big gathering so we wouldn't be able to hear ourselves think! So had to go to the bar area but that was quiet and nice.
Food was great. We did download app to get a discount but it wouldn't work as app want loading anyone's account.
We had a lunchtime meal and to be honest we left feeling that the whole experience was ok. What was great was the decor and our waitress was lovely. The food portions are a little pricey for what you get and we had to wait ages between being ordered and food arriving. I would go back but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Lovely meal at the new Cat & Fiddle. Nicely fitted out, great atmosphere and the food was hot, excellent quality and good sized portions. The Pavlova was huge! Thanks to Joe for the brilliant service! A++++
Amazing looking place, comfortable and very classy. Real fire was a lovely touch. Downside was the food. Soup was lukewarm at best and had a real odd taste (butternut squash and cauliflower). Bread had been in the microwave so was lovely and soft... for about a minute, then it turned back into a rock. Brisket sandwich was okay but it had you much pickled red onion which made it very sour.
So, great place to chill, have a drink etc, but the food needs work.

We had the 3 for ten pound nibbles (x2) and they were lush! Really enjoyable.
Nice surroundings and good drinks menu too (non alcoholic tonic mixers etc).
Only thing that let it down as it took ages to come.
Beautiful interior, comfortable seating, fabulous outdoor and semi covered wicker seating area/decking/grass. Food delicious and well presented. Excellent table service, polite, friendly and efficient. A little more expensive but well worth a visit. Dog friendly.
Food was really good however we waited a long time for our order to be taken and for drinks to arrive. Length of time between courses was also long staff appeared to be more interested in clearing tables then looking after diners who were already there. Think the waiters were too young and inexperienced. It let the place down unfortunately.
