Just had a great evening here. Welcoming staff, delicious homemade food, piping hot and well presented. Good value for money. Decor is lovely and the restaurant is spacious. Would definitely eat here again.
Took my mother here for afternoon tea for her birthday and was blown away, best afternoon tea I’ve had. Everything was homemade and exceptionally tasty, huge portions and insane value for money. 100% would go here again.
Group of 4 ate tonight. Staff exceptionally helpful, food excellent, and the value is amazing. Definitely will be back !! Very family friendly pub with a bookcase crammed with books and activities for children, huge garden and plenty of seating inside and out. This place is well worth a visit.
What an amazing find. Had driven past this pub a few times. Such friendly helpful staff The food was amazing, and they catered for gluten free and vegan to. And had a very good menu as well as light lunch bits. Just need to have a gluten and dairy free desert, other then sorbet and I'd be in heaven.
28 of us attended a Christmas lunch in mid December 2023. To cater for a group of this size, is was obviously essential to preorder and prepay . But this was a straightforward forward process, and a few late bookings and out of the norm requests were taken in their stride by the management. On the
We had fish and chips 3 times. Food was hot and of a good portion size. All 3 of us enjoyed the meal. The service was also at a high standard.
A lovely meal with attentive service. Beef pie was excellent with good veg. Good pint too.
The next best thing to going out for a meal is a home delivery from the Hintlesham George. We just enjoyed an excellent Mother's Day dinner delivered exactly on time by mine host, Daniel. A good selection of freshly cooked veg, delicious roast potatoes, TWO Yorkshire pudds, a massive heap of meat
Well this was a fantastic meal out. Good old fashioned cooking. 3 courses and couldn't fault any of it. Hot, home cooked flavours the meat pie was absolutely amazing. Staff and service was excellent. One way system in place well marked out. Felt safe and comfortable.
We turned up, (didn't book) , on 8 motorcycles, for lunch, hopefully? 😊, and the manager did us proud, with a table for 8 hungry bikers, that was already waiting for us, the food was nice and hot, and very tasty, from steak and ale pie, chicken pie, ham chips, and eggs, curry, burgers, all served,
We were there for a funeral tea which was really nice and a good mix of sandwiches, cake and fruit, although the person behind the bar was very slow serving tea and coffee
Very nice pub restaurant, we went with 2 of our friends, we all had a lovely meal , decent prices and all the staff were very nice. We will be back soon.
This is a little gem, the decor has not changed in years and that's a good thing. You could be in the victorian front room of a Manor house completely with piano and fireplace. A till that pings with bottled fizzy pop. Even the music matches. Would recommend. Sadly did not try the food, but every
Came for a birthday meal with 5 others, and found it to be reasonably priced, and good quality food. Decent sized portions, but not enough veg to go around unfortunately! They were very quick to sort it, and very friendly :)
Lovely pub/restaurant. Great food and service. Not rushed at all. Nice atmosphere.
Lovely log burner, warm welcome, good service, great food, a very enjoyable evening!
Friendly stuff, very polite and helpful. Bar has plenty of space and there is outside space front and in the garden. Good portions and the food does not disappoint.
