Wonderful cafe situated 2 mins from devil's punchbowl area. Has much less of a tourist / national trust day visitor vibe to it, and more of a people in the know / locals vibe. There's a huge selection of cakes and snacks, from bacon and egg baps, through pastries, teacakes, and lots of homemade cakes. Outside seating is limited, but there's a fairly high turnover as many visitors are walkers, cyclists, etc, so they're not there for long. Parking is fairly limited, and the toilets are very clean. There's fresh local ice cream and a huge range of teas and coffees. Open 9am 3pm weekdays, closed Tuesdays, 9 till 4pm weekends.

This was a lovely place to stop for lunch before my hike around Devil's Punchbowl and camping. The staff were lovely and my jacket potato was delicious! I definitely recommend coming here rather than the National Trust cafe as you get my value for your money.

I absolutely love this cafe. Everything is fresh. The service is brilliant. It’s run by a proper Yorkshire man who makes the most amazing breakfasts and lunch and proper cups of tea and coffee. The spot is lovely - perfect for walkers and cyclists enjoying the Devil’s Punchbowl.

Took a little trip here for the first time with my daughters this morning.... loved it! The most amazing sausage and bacon baps! Very good value too and the owners were lovely and friendly, felt like a home from home... can't wait to return. They also had a fun quirky board on the wall full of foodie quotes and a couple of signatures from some celebrities! I couldn't possibly reveal who though 😉 you would have to pop in, grab a bite to eat and a brew to find out !

Stumbled accross this amazing cafe whilst on the King Alfreds Way cycle route. Nothing was too much trouble for them - all staff so friendly and chatty. The coffee was amazing, a great breakfast selection to cater for all (NB: The egg rolls are to die for). Even our bike Water bottles got refilled for us (with ice too!). Very sociable & friendly. Guys - thankyou so much! we left you all fully recharged & refreshed for our last leg home.

The people here were absolutely lovely and made our little group of bikers feel very welcome, they even reserved a take for us. The food and coffee was great with plenty to choose from. We will definitely be going here again.

Visited here on multiple occasions for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Every time it's been delicious. The breakfast is definitely the highlight. It's not at all greasy, bacon cooked to perfection and sausages are the best I've had in a cafe. Staff are lovely and added bonus is it's dog friendly (they also get a treat 😍)

Damn lovely little place! Food took a little while to arrive but when it's there, you know why it took that long. Freshly made by that lovely man with the cool apron. Cake is delicious, coffee is great and the chicken-bacon salad was phenomenal. Definitely give it a try when you're around. There were some free sanitary items for women in the washroom which was a unique little touch that I absolutely liked! 6 stars!

Absolutely lovely little cafe! Friendly staff, decent music, but the triple club sandwich was just amazing. Compliments to the chef. Would fully recommend this place to anyone 😊.
