I visited this place yesterday. While I was waiting for my brother. So I add a beer. And later I add lunch. I must say that it was a great place for a visit the food was very good. The staff are friendly and helpful. I must say that I would recommend this place for a visit

We were looking for Sunday Lunch at the Bank Holiday weekend. After trying a good few places in the countryside around Hinckley, we ended up back where we started. Had lunch there yesterdsy, lovely old pub, the staff were polite, very helpful, felt really at ease, nothing was too much trouble.

I would suggest that the menu is amended on your website as some options were not on the menu in house.

The service was excellent and the food was great. We had a selections of starters, whitebait, chicken strips and wings and they were all good. All of our party had burgers, most of us had the Billy burger but two had the pulled pork burger and the brie and bacon and we had two sides of onion rings.
It is what it is, a great little pub with good beer. Ideal on the walk into town from Burbage or when waiting for a train. Not had food there for years but always used to be spot on 👍🏻
Had a meal and drinks in here on Friday evening, 24th, food was brilliant, staff were funny and helpful. There was a large party in on a retirement do or a hen do, staff were really good at just keeping us in the loop with our order, were apologetic about timings, even though they had no need to be.
