Travelled from Northampton to attend a Birthday party "Julie Wykes" happy many returns, and this place is a hidden gem, food was awesome, staff very attentive, absolutely loved this place will be back for more � Thank you.
Went there the other day and we had to have meal adjusted slightly due to dietary requirements after an operation which affected mouth sensitivity. They adapted to every requirement and it was very well done. Plus I ordered a burger and sweet potato fries and was expecting an overpriced burger - but it was gorgeous and a decent size! Impressed.
Well it’s very hard to judge between The Tin Hat and The Railway Steamin Billy for the best Steaks in this area, I would not like to choose one, both brilliant.
The service was good food took a while to come out but that’s not a bad thing means it is freshly cooked. Not the cheapest food but worth every penny.
My only complaint is that from the time of being seated and ordering our drinks was far to long. I will be returning.
Went tonight 8 of us including 3 children. Absolutely amazing food was lovely. My dad is not one you can please easily and he loved it. They got colourings for the children. Really recommend this place. Thank you !
Went for lunch last week and had soup and steak.loved you could choose small or large portion,great tasting food and not to overpriced � several gins to choose from also,can’t wait to come back...
My favourite lunchtime dining place ,staff are excellent and the food is always excellent ,excellent service from start to finish .
Ate here several times now & not had a bad meal yet, slightly dearer than some places but you do get what you pay for, £55 for 5 adults (including drinks) at lunchtime isn't extortionate, & certainly not frozen microwave specials either, well done would recommend to anybody.
Best steak for miles! Won't eat steak out anywhere but here��highly recommend x

Could not fault it. Been wanting to come for ages but always fully booked. I can see why. So tasty and very reasonable. The best roast I have had in ages. Cant wait to go again.

Went today for sunday dinner. Ooosh, so nice, and quite cheap. The staff are all really lovely. The overall look of the place is cosmetically pleasing. Facilities clean. I travelled from Leicester to go, and I would do it again. Still full up hehe.

Well excellent Christmas meal at tin hat for "fido" ( a group of locals who meet walking dogs at clara field) great atmosphere excellent food and the little touch " Christmas treats" for our pooches..brilliant, well done TIN HAT

Me & my husband came in for lunch as we were viewing a house in the area, we received a warm friendly welcome by both staff & the locals and the food was gorgeous.
Perfect steak cooked as you want and pipping hot none of the ding food all freshly cooked
Knocked it out of the park yet again with the roast. Came here again as the first time on Mothers Day was so nice and it did not disappoint at all. Great staff with a great sense of humour and an incredible plate of food drowned in gravy (after I took the photo)

The roast for me personally lacked a lot of seasoning however the portion size was good and the GM Anna was absolutely lovley!
We had children with us so booked quite early but it was very dark in the restaurant even tho it was daylight outside so we had trouble reading menu's. They were very good as we had two birthdays and two cakes to bring out. The bill was extremely confusing we had trouble working out what was what. There were two parts to the bill but there were things on there we hadn't ordered and things we had ordered not on there. We were a party of 8. Maybe they aren't used to large groups.
Love this pub … my boyfriend lives locally and we often pop in for food or drinks … service is always good and fast, friendly staff who always make you feel extremely welcome & food is tasty. Great place to visit 😊

what a great pub really is such a shame that its not as busy as it deserves to be. great mixed grill really friendly and helpful staff. definitely be there again if I'm in the area
