Sometimes the fish can be a bit dry and very hard to eat, this was one of those times sadly. The chips were good and plenty of them.

Went on a week day, had very fast service and good food. The staff are friendly and the portion sizes are huge!

Great fish and chip shop, friendly people and good food. Also, remember that even the small fries is enough to feed a small family!

Amazing new burger special last night the big Ben burger was outstanding and very very filling definitely going to get again xxx

I would give more than 5 stars if I could!! The staff are always polite, the portion sizes are generous. Very good value for money overall. I can see why this is the most popular fish and chip shop in the town. 10/10

Based upon all the write-ups I did queue and really was looking forward to trying Smarts Fish and Chips. I would say the chips were 3 * and the fish was really tasty 4*+. However, the first time I turned up I forgot it was Cash Only so had to go to another shop and have to say the other shop's chips

Top notch fish and chips. Very good quality (no greasy batter here) and portions are huge. Highly recommended. They also now take card payments.

Really lovely fish & chips, incredibly large portions, we ordered two large fish & chips and it would have easily fed 4 people! Lovely staff very friendly, I would highly recommend.

Fantastic fresh fish lovely batter and the chips are class aswell and with great service an easy 5 stars

First rate fish & chip shop owned by a lovely couple who serve up large portions of delicious food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
