Its been over 20 plus years since my last visit and I have to say the place has changed, for the better. Building work is almost complete with the restaurant area which will get a visit, very soon. But for me, the selling point was the view from the rear beer garden. Just stunning!!!
Great food and service and great price
Good night out after lockdown ended on pubs. Friendly atmosphere and a good pint. Food not being served just yet, like a lot of pubs. Its an hours travel from where I live, but it was worth the drive for a pleasant evening. Social distancing measures were in place.
Had a day out in highley and stopped off for a drink and some food with my partner & 19 month old little girl. The staff were friendly and the new owners were very welcoming and attentive. My daughter had a great time playing on the bouncy castle and the play area outside.Food was excellent and The

Nice pub. Good menu...nice decking out back..with views across Shropshire. Towards Ludlow..Sunday dinner requires booking...good for kids and dogs...it's in highley village lies back off road...so search or ask.
Such a great pub and friendly too. Not bin here in long time as when i was a kid my dad bought me here a couple times when he was looking after the kings wich i here as bin knocked down now chelmarsh gutted. I grow up there part of my life this was ill try and visit soon guys. Love little john .
Fantastic terrace out the back of the pub. Good choice of drinks. Had a sandwich and chips to share. The sandwich was massive and well filled and the chips were fluffy and crispy and tasty
Good quality basic pub food at great prices, real ales went down very well, family friendly, staff are attentive and friendly, only house wines available currently.
Good drink, food and atmosphere! Always a good time at the malt and the improvements are coming along amazingly well thanks to the owners Kev and Carol 😊👍
Fantastic pub with good beer, live music and one of the best beer gardens around with incredible panoramic views. Highly recommended.

Attended for the final 'Bad Medicine' concert of 2018. Had a great night, pub has atmosphere and the locals are very friendly.
Old-fashioned pub excellent ale and a newly renovated restaurant. Worth coming here just for the beautiful view.
