Absolutely hands down this one of the best pub restaurants I have been too, trust me when I say I have been to many.
I'm just so gutted I was only passing, because I'd love to come back here.
I literally couldn't find fault with my beef roast dinner. 10/10 which I can't ever say I've given.
The beef was perfectly cooked and soft to eat zero fat or gristle, a propa decent cut of meat.
The potatoes were perfect.
Honestly a perfect roast dinner...
The others in the party also raves about their food choices.
The ambiance was nice with 70's softly playing as we sat outside in the heated pod, the inside was a really nice setting.
The whole pub was immaculately clean.
Staff were so friendly and polite.
Massive car park.
Once again I could not find a fault at this pub I'm gutted it's not my regular.
If you are driving around this area or passing here you must stop to eat, you will not be disappointed.
The guy serving and from behind the bar was very welcoming and warm. We ordered coronation chicken wrap& halloumi fries it was the nicest lunch I've had in a long time very reasonable priced.... Halloumi fries best I've tasted (homemade)
I stopped off here for a bite to eat and a beverage. We had been recommended by a friend. The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs. We sat in the pub side area rather than the restaurant as it was a last minute dicision and we were dressed down. It was a lovely atmosphere, a great drinks selection, also a great meal choice. The seating area outside was cosy and fitted with heaters. We went for a three course meal option but there was also specials board to choose from. Would highly recommend this venue for a meal with your partner or a group of friends. Also great if you have a doggy companion. I noticed dog burger treats on the bar (which was a lovely touch) and plenty of dog water bowls outside!
One of my favourite places around. Staff always nice and try to accommodate your requirements. Fireplace usually on in winter times. I've never tasted a bad dish and the service is quick
Friendly atmospheric pub. Has its own carpark which is getting rare in pubs these days.
The staff is friendly and make you welcome. There are plenty of spaces indoors and outdoors (even covered seating)
Pop along and enjoy the nice weather with a drink with friends outdoors, or sit inside on a wet cold day while drinking away.
Dog friendly pub restaurant with friendly staff. Clean and tidy and clean toilets. All four meals were great. Good prices. Will defo be back.
Thank you and your staff for a great time! My auntie’s local pub and we went here a few times! Staff were very friendly and the food and drinks were great. Thank you again, until next time!
My friend and I ate here at lunchtime today, we felt so welcome, even with my little dog who was very reactive. A vegetarian and gluten free menu had been prepared for my friend. Our food was lovely and very fresh, extremely well presented and big portion sizes. Will definitely be eating here again.
The decor and the atmosphere are very warm and casual. It feels like you sit down at home. The food was really good and they are also dog friendly which is a big plus.
We had a lovely meal at the Royal Oak. The service was great. Nice to have a friendly and chatty waiter 😊so thank you, so sorry we didn't get your name. And nice that he was so knowledgeable on the menu and wine list. Our table was great, we asked for the table number so we could book it again. We had three courses and every one of them were really good. The wine was good too. We like a shiraz. We live very close to which is a bonus so we will be making this a regular port of call. Thank you so much for a lovely experience.
Had lovely food for very reasonable price. Served by Jen and she was excellent, very friendly and attentive.
Lovely friendly staff. Quick service. Beautiful food we had hunters chicken veggie mash and gravy both delicious. Would recommend a visit.
Amazing food excellent service definitely go again ☆☆☆☆☆
After finding out we had booked the wrong date for our campsite for our motorhome we were stuck for somewhere to stay rang the Royal Oak and the lady couldn’t have been nicer and said we could stay she met us on arrival, and showed us where to park booked a table for a meal food was lovely nice pub inside, popular pub was busy on Saturday night, all noise died down at end of night and we had quiet nights sleep would definitely recommend
Went here to meet up with a friend. The overall look of the oak is lovely. We dined in the back it was very spacious and the decor was lovely. Outside they have little private booths with heaters. While we were there rock and roll bingo started, you can hear it in the restaurant but it was fun guessing all the songs. They also do a quiz night which I’m coming back to give it a try
