Fantastic cosy rural pub, visited lots of times over the years, all staff are exceptionally friendly and accomodating, food is home cooked to a high standard, great arrange of beers and ciders, good out side seating area, also a hut on the side, dogs welcome, nice oldey worldy inside with beams, a must visit
We stopped here for lunch on a cycling trip from London to Oxford and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I was thirsting for a pint of Timothy Taylor’s which they had. My girlfriend has hankering for a pint of neck oil which they also had. I was starving for a big portion of steak and ale pie and mash which they had. My girlfriend was in dire need of a burger and chips which they provided with wonderful service and understanding. Ten out of ten.
Always a warm welcome from the team here at thistraditional pub. Agreat selection of beers and a decent standard menu, with daily specials on the chalk board.
Our favourite pub to have a meal as food superb and can be couples or family our grandson loves it here.
Bar staff always super friendly with nice relaxed feel, hate walking into clicky posh nosh places 😉you get my drift 😜
Lovely traditional pub, great food, great beers and friendly service.
This was our first visit as we were looking for a new pub to eat at. I ordered the ham egg and chips and my wife had the chilli. I must say it was a first class meal. We will be going back for a revisit and I think I’ll try the lasagne next
Lovely old pub! My dad's been going there since was a teenager, he's in his 70s now! Lovely Guiness
Stopped in for a quick pint - great selection of ales as usual. Recommend the Black Diamond - 3.5, a great session ale, wish I could have stayed for more.
Lovely pub at the top of the hill. Great beer selection and the owners are very kind!
Lovely country pub selling real ales. Plenty of parking and friendly service
