Recommended by our airbnb host. Very nice quiet local pub. They were due to stop serving food at half 8 but they were happy to serve us even though we were right on the deadline! Friendly staff and the prices are fair. Food was really good & I'd recommend the steak. Would definitely return if we stay in the area again. Exactly what we were looking for. Dog friendly too.

Six adults and one toddler went for dinner on Christmas Eve and enjoyed every minute of it! All staff were very friendly and the land lady took time to entertain my daughter with all of the Christmas decorations which she loved. The food was proper home cooked food everyone was happy with their meal choices (the stakes were spot on) We will return again when we are visiting the area. Thank you again and happy new year to you all. P.S don’t even bother reading the below comment the lady must be the grinch in disguise!

I am not a pub person but was stuck for somewhere to eat so decided to call in, I am really pleased to find that as an outsider to the area no one stared at us when we went in, the staff were friendly and the food was really nice and reasonably priced. A really positive experience and a nice clientele.

Lovely pub inside, great beer garden, food & Staff were great, service was a little slow but that's probably because the food was freshly made. Would definitely go again.

Great service and friendly atmosphere. Food was amazing. Made even more personal when the bar manager started signing to our deaf son. Will definitely be going back.

Really good food with a limited and simple menu. Nice atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. Beer garden is tucked outside and is a bit basic but what more you after?

Food is excellent. You may have to wait for it but guaranteed it will be worth waiting for. Be assured of good portions. Recommend the shared platter for two as a starter!!
