a very worthy Chinese type restaurant good atmosphere with a very historical English pub

We always get great food from the Castle Inn Hickstead, fresh cooked Chinese dishes, great flavour and hot!

For years we’ve got a takeaway from the Castle Inn and it’s been fantastic but lately I’m a bit disappointed. One free bag of prawn crackers with a £60 order that now has 10 crackers in, it used to be huge! Buy an extra bag and it’s about £3!! And still tiny! Rice and chips have become extortionate,

I've only ever had takeaway from here. It's always been good quality, but I feel that some of the portions are smaller compared to other places close by.

Had the salt and pepper chilli wings. The best wings I’ve ever had. Super good duck as well but needs more pancakes.

Great food, but even better service. Very minor issue which was corrected super fast without any need to prompt for a resolution. Have used several times, will use again! Thank you.

I like this pub. It's a bit run down and badly in need of refurbishment but comfortable with an overgrown beer garden. Staff are very friendly and it's great that they do a Chinese takeaway over the bar. I had sweet and sour chicken with special fried rice. Delicious

Camping at Blacklands Farm and wanted a Chinese. Pre-Ordered just Just Eat and collected at 1815. Food was ready at this time when I arrived, super hot, tasty and couldn’t had wished for more👏😎
