A lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink or snack in the sun. Beautifully set out and with 3 children in tow the chocolate fudge cake went down a treat.. All very reasonably priced. Very helpful staff and lovely coffee. Highly recommend a trip x A lovely walk along the canal and feeding of the ducks and swan.. Perfect afternoon.

I went to the Old Wharf at the weekend, first thing you notice how striking the place looks as you pull up, a beautifully restored building creating a very pleasant scene next to the water. The quality of the craftsmanship continues when you enter the premises. The menu displays a great selection of teas, coffee, snacks and treats. I also here you can get a nice bacon and sausage cob for breakfast! I recommend sitting outside with a pot of tea and watch the world go by whilst appreciating the tranquillity of the surroundings. Speaking the Chris, he says he has many exciting plans for the future and wants to continue improving the property. The village I'm sure are extremely proud. I look forward to coming back.

What a lovely place. Called in for breakfast this morning. Great team working and fab service. We wanted to get cake take outs to bring home as they all looked so delish but it was so busy as we were leaving and we were short on time. We will be back to sample cakes soon! Highly recommend

We just got back from The Old Wharf Tearoom. Beautiful setting, lovely old building and very nice food served by very welcoming, pleasant, friendly staff. Luckily the weather was great and we could relax and watch the Ducks and Swans in the canal basin.

A beautiful place to have lunch. The jacket potatoes are fantastic, all the cakes on offer amazing, the staff really welcoming and helpful...and just a tip, when they say "the world's greatest carrot cake"...they mean it!! Takeaway available as well and plenty of room upstairs to eat, or for a private event.

The staff here are probably the most polite, attentive and friendly I have experienced anywhere. The coffee is good (but not the best), the cake is excellent (but not the cheapest) and the lunch is very tasty, all situated in a beautiful building by the wharf. I can thoroughly recommend the mixed box of traybake but only to share!

Loved my first visit to this establishment. Light lunches the order of the day. Enjoyed my Baked Potato but the star has to be the Cheesecake - lovely grub.

They say it's the best carrot cake. I can't argue really. Great little cafe next to the canal for breakfast, lunch or cake. Not the cheapest around but the food is good. Friendly fast service and a great stop off if you're walking or cycling with plenty of outdoor seating. I highly recommend the stilton and caramelised onion scone.
