What a lovely pub. Called in today with my elderly mum for a meal.
The two girls behind the bar were lovely and friendly. Mum can't eat much so they very kindly let her have a child's meal.
We both had fish and chips...yummy...really good.
The locals were also very friendly.
We are going back tomorrow as we are staying close by for a few days....highly recommend this pub. 👌
Lovely little pub, very hospitable. We arrived about 9 on Saturday and the kitchen was closed so the owner brought us a fresh plate of turkey sandwiches without charging us! Thanks, will definitely call in again!
Can't recommend this pub highly enough, absolutely brilliant atmosphere,staff are really really friendly,cheap beer,wide choice,and the food! 100% I had pie chips and peas with gravy,it was like a desperate Dan pie,and extremely tasty,if your going to the Isle of Man this pub is less than 5 min walk to boarding station,will defo be back.
Pleasant place for a beverage. It wasnt too busy when we popped by for a quick pint, before heading home. The food looked and smelled good too - although, we didn't have enough time to stay for food.
Atmosphere alittle noisy, had regulars near our table who were noisy. Just wanted a Sunday afternoon to relax. However, this wasn't too much trouble.

Birthday visit for some lunch and a drink. Very pleasant greeting from the girl tending the bar. Chicken curry with rice or chips (offered choice of various type of curry eg tikka, balti) and fish, chips and peas £19.90. Good size portions and was delicious. It's an all day menu with lots of varied choice. Something to suit everyone plus a kids menu. Open from 12pm. Definitely recommend this place. Great service, pleasant surrounding, good prices. What's not to like. Drop in if you're in the area.
8 of us came here for dinner when we were staying at ocean edge holiday park. The food was very tasty and portion sizes great. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
We stopped there for a meal it was a warm evening so we sat outside the food was good plain and simple the way we like it, the service from the young lady was friendly and excellent

Called in here on last day of holiday, wow its beautiful food and reasonably priced and the portions are spot on for us fattys, if we stay at the campsite again this will be our food place, only thing was a bit off putting but it is pub the regulars swearing heads off when kids around, but wouldn't put us off going 😋

We had a lovely meal at the Duke of Rothesay, we had Hunters Chicken it was so nice complement the Chef on it. Last week received a £60 penalty fine, so rang the pub told the lady we had put our car reg into the screen on the bar, so the lady I spoke to said she would sort it out for me and true to her word she did. Thank you.
Really nice place. Decent prices was surprised with the size of the gammon steak. Loved our meal.
Nice place for a meal or just a drink big pub small car park clean and pleasant atmosphere we used the pub when we were staying at a nearby caravan park so is handy for that.
