We stayed here for the night whilst travelling for a Marathon. Danielle was so accommodating and welcoming and everything was absolutely perfect. We’d never stayed at a BnB quite like this before! the rooms were more than perfect, clean and comfortable it was like home away from home for the night.
Thoroughly enjoyed a strawberry milkshake, with cream on top, and cheese and onion quiche. The milkshake was probably the best I've ever had bar none.

We booked in at short notice and the staff were very accommodating. We had a room upstairs which was very good and the bathroom had a shower unit and a whirlpool bath. Lovely food with attentive staff. My hubby is pescarian so often goes for fish dishes. He found their fish and chips to be really nice. My soup of the day was lovely too. We have paid more for average food in other establishments so value was good too.
We had breakfast baps and they were really nice. The place is dog friendly. We chose to sit outside as it was a nice day but well behaved dogs are welcome inside too. There is a great range of food on the menu from an all day breakfast menu, light bites, meals, puddings and cakes. We'll be visiting
My partner and I spent the weekend at Fountain Cottage and we had a great time. The double en-suite room was large and clean, with a comfy double bed. The highlight has to be the amazing food, which was spot on. The cheesecake is not to be missed! The b&b provides a great base for local walks.
I can't comment on the rooms as I just popped in for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Great service and lush sandwich. Good portions and ideal place to pop in when going for a walk.
Stayed for one night while walking the Pennine way. The twin room (number 5) was brilliant. Beds are very comfortable, and the shower is very welcome.
