Wonderful new find. We visited as a couple on a sunny, warm Saturday evening. The venue is right next to Hexham Abbey and the old market square. You get great views out of every window. The tables were placed well apart so you felt really comfortable on such a warm night. There was a nice buzz about the place. Our food was wonderful. Really surprising in the sense I ordered garlic mushrooms as a starter expecting your normal mushrooms in a garlic butter but what came was much more mouth watering. My husbands fish bites were also delish. Mains were equally as delicious and we were too stuffed for dessert. Absolutely only negative was my white wine was not chilled enough for my tastes, so had to chill it down with ice cubes, which made it a little watery.
Other than that, it was a splendid evening with attentive staff.
Was recommended the restaurant by our taxi driver, booked online just a few hours in advance. Fabulous decor and atmosphere, attentive staff and a very different menu. Loved the food, would recommend and go back when I'm next in Hexham.
The restaurant has a great ambience and view of the historic church and market square of Hexham so when you sat down you were instantly expectant and the food did not disappoint. Great selection of dishes and good value, we will definitely be coming back if we're in the area again.
Went for dinner (for two), had 3 tapas and then a shared curry and rice and a side - was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. The mix of styles is subtle and the small plates are great to allow you to try several dishes. Service was good as well. Also place was full - all seats, all tables - at 7pm on a Friday night in April, so you can probably figure out why..
Little gem of a place. Gorgeous unique food. I wasn't sure if it'd be by thing but it was all delicious. Pretty big portions but they boxes up what we just couldn't manage. Nice selection of drinks. The ambience was just right with some nice, not overly loud modern instrumental music on. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. I'd recommend this place. I would say for disabled users that I'm not sure there is access up to the first and second floors so this may affect if you wanted to book, so call ahead to check.
Lovely food, the concept is really nice in that it lets you explore and try different foods and meals. The service was really good, staff were so friendly and accommodating. Definitely would revisit if driving through Hexham again, the rest of the dishes on the menu also looked worth trying!
We booked to eat here during a weekend break. We had the tapas style dishes which are either small curry dishes or fusion style Mexican and Indian dishes. I know that sounds weird but they are really nice and a good change from the standard Indian pakoras etc.. . Some other diners were having full size curries for mains and got very large portions which they struggled to finish. also great service from the whole team here. Really friendly.
Perfect place for a different type of tapas. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff were really friendly and efficient. The restaurant was really clean and tidy. It’s set over two floors that look out over the market square so it’s a lovely view too. We will definitely be back. Unfortunately no good if you can’t manage stairs.
Awesome, delicious food - great value and quality. We had just ridden from Carlisle so were fairly hungry. Great portion sizes and hit the spot perfectly. We knew we would miss our 6pm booking slot. Called ahead to explain. They kindly held our table. Staff super friendly and helpful. Thank you
As soon as we arrived we were met with a smile and very attentive, friendly staff. The food is fantastic and throughout our meal we had very observant staff knowing exactly when we needed more drinks etc. With a view out of the windows towards the Abbey and the market place it would be difficult to imagine a nicer place to enjoy a meal. We are going back again soon.
