A nice find, the service was slow and somewhat dis-organised, the food however is absolutely outstanding. Would stop by here again, imagine it would get very busy during the holidays and finer weather.

Great alfresco courtyard location for this lovely Sardinian cafe/restaurant. Really tasty pasta dishes and good Italian red wine. Friendly yet professional service too. Unfortunately not open evenings.

Seriously nice coffee. Espresso is spot on, tastes like a rost that's on the darker side of medium, probably a 1:1.25 brew ratio. I normally order a cappuccino, nicely balanced and the milk is streached to perfection. Food is glorious too. Pricy but glorious. If you want cheap eats, go to spoons. If you're after an enjoyable lunch, order some pasta. Beautiful!

Had a very nice meal here, visited in the past a good while ago and decided to go back whilst in the area. Lasagne was really tasty, the garlic bread was nice but for my taste needed more garlic. It would have been if the lasagne had come with salad and garlic bread as opposed to either. A small side salad would have been much appreciated, we didn’t want to have to choose between that and the bread. The staff were very professional and friendly, especially the young woman who served us. We would return, we enjoyed our meal but the main menu could have been better, can you offer dishes without so much chilli, some people have a problem digesting it.

A delightful find. The coffee is 1st class, authentically Italian. The service was wonderful, friendly and attentilative. There is a little coffee bar at the back which made us feel like we were in Italy, then a nice and bright main room. The cappucino was delcious, a strong flavour (typicaly Italian). We also had some of the small Italian sweets (a mini chocolate pastry nand mini cherry almond) which were delicious and just right to accompany our coffee. The food menu looked good and we hope we can visit again.

Amazing little find in quiet sunny square. Not just a cafe a proper Sardinian restaurant, friendly proprietor - who says lovely-jubbly whatever you order! Amazing pasta dishes from a black board daily + standard menu.

Visited just before they closed on Sunday and were welcomed with open arms by the very friendly Italian proprietor. We had the most delicious pork broth made the prettier way with lots of black pepper, celery and potato. The garlic bread was perfect. We would have loved to try more on the menu, with the great Italian coffee and gelato. Looks like we'll just have to go back! Don't leave Hexham without visiting Salute.

Very agreeable indeed. Foccacia sandwiches were tasty and reasonably priced. Gnocchi was nice and light. Enjoyed our meal in the courtyard at the back of the restaurant. Also the young lady that took out order was extremely polite.

Excellent a gem of a find. Great staff excellent service and the best hot chocolate I have ever had. We felt really safe and comfortable sitting in the courtyard setting. A good menu of Italian food was also available if required.

It is a bit like being in Italy - especially if the weather is good. One of the best places in Hexham for eating outside (Abbey cafe is nice too) because has a courtyard away from the road. Food is very good and prices very reasonable. Staff are mostly Italian and food tastes better than food I have eaten on the med - it feels very authentic. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

What a great little Cafe. Owner was from Sardinia. A great choice of food, and the taste...... We ordered 2 Croissants, one with Tuna and Mayonnaise, the other with Smoked Salmon and Cottage Cheese ........ Really Beautiful. We both had Cappuccinos and I had a Canoli. Can't wait to go back. Well worth a visit.
