Had an excellent room in the County Hotel whilst cycling Hadrian's way. Cycles looked after securely and the room was spotless and well maintained. Enormous bed and a great night's sleep. Topped off by a super breakfast with fresh fruit, waffles syrup and bacon. Excellent value.
The bar and the food all very good but the best thing is the staff who are friendly, smart and very happy to help. Well worth a visit. Fiona is an exceptionally friendly and astute person. A few moments talking with her will confirm this. Well done Fiona, you 'run a good ship'.

Good time with family in the bar the other night - excellent meal as always. But reason for review is that on arrival, my wedding ring flew off. Went for lunch. Was extremely busy and even though the staff were working hard they were very friendly. We had our dogs and they were welcomed with a water bowl and biscuits

It is in heart of Hexham and can be easily found, it has an imposing frontal lobby with a side door to the right, the bus station is a mere few mi s walk to the left, a d is perfectly situated next to all shops that one would want

Staying near Hexham for a family wedding the next day , we decided on County Hotel hHexham Thursday evening for our evening meal .

Great place, welcomes dogs with water bowls treats etc. The doggy sausage was finished off by our dog very quickly so I think that meant it was good!

I have been here a number of times, the food is always delicious and the staff are always lovely, would definitely recommend. I have not stayed here, but if the bar and restaurant are anything to go by, I bet the hotel service will be top notch!
