A little gem!. Historic canalside pub full of character. Beer garden leading down to the canal which is very popular in the summer. Although the food is a little bit more expensive than the average pub in this area it is worth every penny! I have never been disappointed when I've eaten here and my personal favourite is the chicken, it is succulent and juicy and comes with lovely crispy onion rings, chips and a creamy but light sauce. As a boater it is my favourite pub food along the length of the Lancaster Canal and would recommend it to anyone. Great beer too!

Great traditional pub sat right against the canal at Hest Bank. Wide range of beers and other drinks which can be enjoyed in the large rear garden. Not tried the food as I wasn't hungry, although it looked very nice.

Absolutely delicious food. Everything was well cooked and the staff were very friendly. There was plenty of choice on the menu and it was all very reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back.
