The Old Crown - Hesket Newmarket - Photo album

Had a fabulous evening meal here while camping up the road. The steak and ale pie was delicious, I’d thoroughly recommend this place to anyone, and only wish it was open at lunchtime during the week, and we would have made a second visit.
What a find!!! Stumbled across this place after walking Carrock fell The draft is spot on and the food is the best meal I have had in the lakes! EVER! The locals are also great banter and very welcoming!!!
Quaint village pub, serving good food. Attended as a part of a break to the Lake District. Pub was dog friendly, and locals were welcoming to us. Strongly recommend the chicken korma!
Oh boy, what a great Pub that we found by coincidence. Nicely decorated and very kind service 🥰. The food was really good and also the crumble was very Yummi 🤤 always nice to be surprised by something that special when you don’t expect it. Also did we meet great folks there and had a chat. Great pub run by the locals . Beers served are from the Hesket Newmarket Brewery located next to the pub. A nice unspoilt inn within a lovely fellside village. Check the opening times as they have been closed over lunch when I have passed by over the last few years.
What a lovely little pub. Small drinking area but larger area for meals. The staff are friendly & food is excellent. Only on holiday here but wish they were in my area
Outstanding pub with it's own brewery! I've visited this pub for a long long time now and it's not changed it's character. Friendly staff, superb (camra real ale guide) beer and good quality simple food make this place well worth visiting, add to that the beautiful countryside views and lovely walks
An absolute belter of a pub. Run by the locals, for the locals and welcomes the non-locals. Set in a gorgeous village that is a little hidden gem. All the beers are great - from the local Coop brewery (Recommend “Doris’ 90th” as a cracking beer!) Brings the dogs as well. It’s ace.
A truly great traditional pub. Always been full when we've been, so best advised to book to have a great pub meal. I recommend a (or several) pint of 'Skiddaw' from their interesting choice of independent brewed ales and beers! 100% dog friendly too.
Really nice pub, landlady Helen was very friendly and so helpful. We had a sandwich each which was on nice thick brown bread Lovely
