Fabulous options, reasonably priced in my opinion. We came for a late lunch at around 3:45pm and it was not busy.
The atmosphere was cosy, there was good music and we were warm.
Arrived without booking, excellent service from a northern lass. We had a set menu, lovely food 1 pizza was missing olives and our waitress sorted out a pot of olives within seconds. We also requested extra basil leaves which came in seconds.Great atmosphere and decor.
About what you expect with Pizza Express: decent food, friendly staff. No exceptions here, although it can get noisy if lots of families with young kids are visiting. Also, my chair was on a weird floorboard, so whenever someone walked by I had a weird thump below me. All nice, besides that!

Went for a date night tonight, and it was perfect. The food was cooked to perfection. My partner is really fussy and said the calzone was the best he had ever had, and so was the roulade for desert. The waitress was also very lovely and helpful
Chloe and Chris were very accommodating and managed to get us our food even when they were closed, amazing service!

This restaurant was faced with an entire symphony orchestra arriving unannounced and expecting to be served. Quickly. And the team here did just that, and got us all out in time to get dressed and warmed up for our concert in All Saints Church. Well done, that's what I call can-do customer service. Food was good too!!
Food was good, Toffee desert was amazing. Service was a bit slow. But they were busy.

I love coming here, the food is consistent and delicious and the menu varied. Chloe in particular is always smiling, busy helping customers and going the extra mile. She even distracted our little ones long enough that we could shove a slice of pizza in!

We came without booking and even if it was busy the nice Italian manager find a spot for us. He warned that the service could be slower than usual however we thought it was reasonably fast. The service was attentive and the food amazing, definitely we will come back. Thanks Maurisio.
Wow, not many reviews are worthy of such a great intro, but we were truly bowled over by the wonderful lunch we had at Pizza Express in Hertford today. We were greeted by a friendly bubbly manager who seated us where we asked and saw to our every need. We explained we had a terrible meal at another branch last week and thought we would see if this branch was better and with that we were treated like royalty. The chefs were outstanding, the food was amazing, and tasted sublime, the waitress Sophie was so helpful and efficient we couldn't have asked for better service. The restaurant manager came to speak to us to make sure our food was ok and the shift manager saw to our every need.
We will be coming back again very soon and am so glad we choose to go here for lunch and will be telling everyone to do the same.
5 stars is all we can give but this store deserves more.

We went there today for a family lunch and we were not disappointed fabulous food and our waitress Amelia really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble!
