One of the best chips I’ve eaten, top quality so crispy and soft in the middle. This is the second time I’ve come here. Had to stop again today to grab some lunch. Better then any restaurant I’ve had chips in. Nice to see real traditional chips like we used to get in the good old days. Nice friendly
I have been searching for a decent fish and chips shop for years! This place is the only place I have found that does the chips perfectly, has a wide range of menu items and tastes so good. Customer service and food are a cut above the rest. Soo happy I’ve found them. Would highly recommend.
Carly's has recently added more non-fish items to the menu. I tried the spicy chicken wings and they were amazing! The breading remained crispy and intact even with the leftovers. The spice is proper spicy and well-seasoned. They beat a lot of the established chicken places hands down!
This chippy is class - always a great portion of fish, friendly staff and quick as you like. Only slight downside is the £10 minimum spend on card which most other establishments got rid of a decade ago. But overall this is only a very small downside to a great chippy!
You simply can not get better fish n chips anywhere else. The service and staff are fantastic

Great food, always hot and fresh. Their batter is the only one I can eat, others are fatty or make me bloat. Lovely staff. We have fish & chips every 2 weeks and it's the best.
Overall very good. Generally the chips are very good and the fish very good as well, they also do pies and mushy peas. The staff are nice. I would have awarded it five stars but the food can be a bit inconsistent, some days the chips might not be crispy, but never bad.

I’ve always found Carleys to be a very good chippy. Now they’re under new ownership and they’re even better. Perfectly cooked fish and lovely chips. The mushy peas and curry sauce are always on point too. Great value too.

Staff was very welcoming and friendly with smiles on their faces. Food was fresh, delicious and perfect. The hygiene levels were exceeding standards with no fault. Overall very impressed and will be coming back to get more tasty food.
