Am not a member but non-members can get entry for events. We went for a jongleurs comedy night. The comedy night was so good. Will come again. This is a real cozy place, within its own walled , small, grounds. Building probably late 1700s. Bar staff was efficient and attentive. I'd become a member if I lived here. Parking is so limited in this area so as to be, in effect, non-existent, as is the case with all the pedestrianised, heavily parking controlled town centres, but you are only a 4 minute walk from a paid parking lot, and more or less the same from some outlying residential streets where resident permits do not apply after 6pm, weekdays.

Members only with discounted prices for members. Lovely riverside area. Large outside area where festivals and music are on. Friendly staff and regulars. Pretty gardens and building. The food is only on once a month and we’ve had better roasts and would recommended eating elsewhere.

It’s very small but a lovely place with lots of history. The drinks was reasonable price you do have to be a member to be there or be a guest of a member. The only problem I had was that the bar snacks they are not checking dates as I had bar snack that was out of date but they was lovely and offered me a refund or to have a packet of crisps

We had some top notch steaks on the recent Steak Night. Our steaks were cooked just right and came with various roasted vegetables and tomatoes, peppercorn sauce and tasty chips or fries. Best steak we've had for a long time - top marks to the chef!

Originally built in the 15th century. It was extended in the 17th century and re-fronted in the 18th century. It was occupied by Sir Henry Chauncey (1632-1719), Recorder of Hertford and notable historian. He is said to haunt the first floor. Creaking floorboards and footsteps have been attributed to 'old Henry'. Lombard House is now home to the Hertford Club, a private members club.

We watched the rugby on Saturday night. There were two big screens. Everyone had a good view. Lots of good beer. At half-time the pub provided a small mountain of sausages in rolls and hamburgers with onions for all the customers. This was most welcome, and very generous of the landlord. A most friendly and welcoming pub, and highly recommended.

An oasis of calm near the town centre, and has lasted longer than Bircherly Green shopping centre did. Now with added Kevolution and garden stage. The new chef is very good.

Historic building but rather unimpressive interior decor. Nice garden and river terrace. Three real ales on hand pull.

An old time club with decent seating. The toilets could do with an upgrade but the rest of the place is pretty good. Staff are friendly and service is good.
