Such a lovely environment for a relaxed lunch with children. Good food and service and plenty of toys for them to enjoy. Thanks

Great atmosphere, tasty drinks, though we’ve tried only tea and coffee. They organize reading evenings for children, which is nice, and also sell books that are presented on the shelves. Would definitely come again if somewhere nearby and would recommend visiting with kids.

A fantastic cafe for both adults and children. Lovely food with a varied menu and all reasonably priced. There is a large selection of books and toys for little ones to enjoy, and the owner stocks some wonderful books available to purchase. The staff are always very welcoming, kind and accommodating. There is also a regular book club meet-up for adults, with interesting titles to enjoy and discuss. A really great local business. Highly recommend.

I love it here. Great coffee, freshly baked croissant, and books and toys available if you have kids in tow. A lovely independent coffee shop and kids bookshop shop (with much better coffee than you get from the chains).

I was recommended leaf by a few of my friends and finally got the chance to visit! It is the loveliest little coffee shop , with a great selection of cakes and small bites! It is very welcoming and the staff were lovely. Plus the bonus of the book shop were you can purchase a great selection of children books ( great place to get a gift). My daughter loved the courtyard with the playhouse! I highly recommend as it is such a great little gem in Hertford and great place for mums!

Great place for bite to eat, especially with children as they have a huge selection of lovely books to read. Agree with prior comment that it's much better than the chain coffee shops!

Lovely concept of a cafe that has a place for books and children to play too. They sell from sandwiches 🥪 to toddlers snacks and delicious cakes and coffees. Also, kids can have a look at books, and you can buy some others that have been placed on shelves for costumer to purchase. Great idea for a coffee place with kids!

Went for a coffee and a brie and bacon sourdough toastie . The toastie was brilliant. We sat in the courtyard on a nice sunny afternoon. Courtyard would have been better with living flowers / plants . Raised beds using sleepers ( Wickes sell them for ten pounds each ) also expanding trellis just inside the beds help protection. Amazon do a pack of three in dark green for £10.99. I hope this helps .

Lovely little cafe and bookshop. First off, the coffee is great and they use locally roasted beans from Lulu and the food/snacks are really nice, they have regular food options and also some dairy free and gluten free options. Staff are friendly. Has an amazing kids bookshop in the back, they also have a large shelf of 'sticky hands' books for kids to read whilst visiting the cafe. They also put on craft session for kids, whilst I'm too old, they look pretty fun.

A charming and very characteristic little cafe. We visited to attend the Santa's Grotto and all of the staff were very helpful and made our visit special.

Lovely cafe with a good selection of food and drink. We enjoyed the coffee and Mezze Platter and kids sandwiches. The kids sandwiches come with a few cucumber and carrot sticks which is great. The place is beautiful decorated and very clean. The staff was really friendly.

Nice and friendly, good for kids with lots of toys and books out. But the food was a bit disappointing. The salad garnish with my sandwich was tiny and my daughter's jam sandwich contained lashings of butter and not much jam, the other way round would have been better.
