A quaint (but lovely), family run local pub that specialises in home made pies & puds.
We ordered (& greatly enjoyed) a Steak, Marmite & Mushroom pie as well as a Chicken & Mushroom Pie that came with a selection of options & lashings of gravy - both were delicious & generous in size.

They were compassionate to the situation, catered well for allergens.

Good food at very reasonable prices. Great for a pub lunch. Cosy little pub with a warm atmosphere. Ample parking and a beer garden. Good hosts, always willing to listen to a request.
Recently had a wake at this pub. The staff were really good - friendly and accommodating. The food was beautifully presented - with lovely homemade cakes and scones as part of the buffet. Tea and coffee were on flow. The owner even opened the pub especially for the wake. Can't thank them enough for

Attended a wake with 30 people after a funeral at Woolenbrook.
Buffet was really nice. Sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, jam and cream scones and Victoria sponge. Tea and coffee was plentiful and the bar had plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful
