The View Fish & Chips - Herne Bay - Photo album

This was my first visit to Herne Bay and I loved it, what a gorgeous coast line and a nice relaxed vibe. We went on the pier and thought it had a lovely feel and fantastic views. There were huts that are shops and one hut sold beer. Toward the end of the pier there are small fairground rides whic
Parking is free from October to March so its much easier to pop here for an afternoon for fish and chips and a dog walk along the prom. The pier is a short walk but lovely on a sunny day.
Great public space. Good food choices. Sea views. Seating areas. Toilets. Fun fair too. Worth a family visit. Also holds open air concerts.
The current pier is just the stub of a very much longer pier that had been dismantled in 1980. I’ve been there a couple of times, but it wasn’t busy on either occasion. There are lots of outlet huts along the sides, some amusement rides and a viewing area at the end. About a mile offshore is what wa
Top place, a little gem of independent retailers. Great views to shore. Thai, doughnuts and chips, something for everyone. Crab fishing looks popular.
We really enjoy it. A few fun things to do for the kids. Nice ice creams and drinks x
Today I managed to get to the sea for the first time this year and only for an hour. Oh what a glorious hour I had. I missed the sea and the sand/stones between my toes. Thank you Herne Bay you made my week. I didn't go to the pier but I enjoyed seeing it.. and I got to see the original Zoltar Speak
We had a Sunday mid-morning stroll on the front of Herne Bay front. The sun came out and the jumper came off. Lovely time and had time for a tea and cake on the pier. This place was busy but as the weeks go by it's gonna be full of sun seekers. I love the feel of the atmosphere at Herne Bay. We will
Small but quant pier with a few attractions and a surprisingly large amount of food locations!
Beautiful beach. An evening well spend. Parking available nearby. Kids had a great time
Very nice but it's definitely starting to show its age now hardly anything was open on the Pier but I should think when the summer returns it would be well worth a visit.
Not a bad pier as piers go. A little bit of everything with some interesting shops on the RHS as you enter, a few nice eateries including The Pub on the Pier which has a nice selection of local beers (at pretty reasonable prices!) plus a number of fairground rides at the rear clearly more in the you
The ice cream hut is a nice place to go for a cup or tea or coffee on colder days. The prices are reasonable, the coffee was nice and the staff were friendly and polite. We ordered a flat white and an americano with oat milk and it came to £5.20. They also do a cream tea for £4.20 which I might have
If you're a fan of long estuary piers, then Herne Bay is only second to Southend-on-Sea, although it's no longer complete. There are a number of businesses operating out of sheds along the length as well as an ice cream kiosk and a small children's funfair.
Noisy and full of arcades, slot machines and the like. Kids will probably love it! Had a walk to the end to view the old end of the original pier which is stranded out in the sea-must have been an impressive sight back in its day. Some traditional hut stalls selling crafts(one which really caught my
Nice views of the sea with choice of eateries around including the sea front.
Brilliant visit here - love the little beach hut boutique shops, food was delicious, rides are expensive but best thing to do on there is crabbing. You can buy crabbing kits nearby and bait is sold at the entrance to the pier. Love this little seaside place - lots to do for a simple, old fashioned d
It was busy and fun , loads of entertainment for the whole family. Little stalls selling different things are nice and interesting. Kids and adults were catching crabs etc. It was fun
Great beach and traditional pier, found parking next to the beach, mixture of shingles and sand. On one side of the pier there is walled off harbour for small boats, on my visit the water was crystal clear. Pay and display parking (Ring Go app)
