Best fish and chips and burgers ever, and such lovely staff, with a view over the pier, highly recommend - didn't get to try the handcrafted ice creams as their portions are massive, but it looked lush!
We had a lovely family meal at the Cookhouse this lunchtime, all meals delicious and freshly prepared. Good menu choice and excellent value for money, including children’s choices. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely seafood lunch here, very healthy portion of shell on prawns to start which were great and moules marinière for main, also well done and could only have been better with a bit more crusty bread. Good location and service.
Highly recommend. Great food and fresh, the servers are so kind and welcoming we have been there twice now and have come out pleased each time. My family came down from London to eat hear and loved it as well. Nice to go to a place that takes dogs can be really hard sometimes. Clean and fresh inviroment. Keep it up x

The CookHouse is a great little restaurant on Herne Bay Sea Front. The interior decor really matched the seaside atmosphere offered by the location of the restaurant.
When we arrived, we were seen to very quickly, but I’d always advise to book just to make sure. We saw a variety in waiting staff during our visit. There was a young, blonde girl, whose name I didn’t catch, who didn’t seem too enthusiastic about being there. However, our waiter, Mat, was very opposite. He was a very lovely lad who was very attentive to our needs. He seemed to care about how the restaurant was portrayed to the customers, which I think was just great. He was very welcoming and kind in taking our order and making sure that we were all okay.
I had a prawn sandwich, which is unlike me because I’m not a fan of seafood. Regardless, it was delicious and I was a fan. I’d definitely eat there again. The pricing of the food is what I’d expect to pay for a meal out and the menu offers a great selection of meals for all.

Visited with my wife, daughter and son today. Had a fabulous lunch, the burger was amazing and staff and chef were extremely accommodating to my fussy easting requests! Very family friendly and staff were great with my daughter. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
Great seafront location with lots of space downstairs if needed. Nice, friendly staff who were helpful and trusting. They made a nice decaf soya latte - which I didn't expect for the middle of Herne Bay! Overall great little find...Plus they welcome dogs :) I would recommend a visit if in the area and hungry.
Great service since the change of management and name. The food was lovely. However I found the menu to be a bit limited with most main courses being served with chips and that’s not what I want when eating out.
Excellent food, and service i would recommend for lunch. Children's food was just as good as adults and all freshly made with generous portions. Will return again as such good value for money

Delicious meal, very helpful staff. Varied menu, 5 of us went and all had different dishes snd all was tadty.Also very easy for disabled access. We will be returning.
Had a really nice breakfast, the coffee is first class. Nice friendly staff. Looking forward to my next visit.
They only do breakfasts at weekends. We had a very good Saturday Breakfast. The service is quite slow - we waited ten minutes for our drinks which we drank before we got our food. But it was Saturday morning and we had no reason to rush.
