Took my mum yesterday for afternoon tea for her birthday. Absolutely amazing the tea room was decorated so well and the food was to die for and the service was on point. We both thoroughly enjoyed it definitely recommend it and have already. We will be back thank you once again.
My eldest is a big fan of Alice in Wonderland so we came here for a family treat. We were bowled over.
The style of the tearoom is spot on; beautifully decorated and just the right side of over the top to be quirky and fun. The staff were attentive and accommodating, even alluring us to order off menu for our fussy youngest!
As for the food, it was simply wonderful! The lemon and poppy seed scones were worth the trip alone but everything was wonderfully made and presented with real care and a sense of fun.
We live any hour and a half away and are already working out or next visit.
Visited the Herne Bay tea room today with my mum and my two daughters 2 and 8 . We only booked an afternoon tea yesterday we were not disappointed at all x the surroundings and decor was amazing and very well thought about . The food was not only presented beautifully( both the adults and children’s ) but tasted amazing too x the beautiful little cakes on top were stunning. My little girl even brought her Alice in wonderland themed Easter egg to show and the waitress was lovely and attentive to her . Thank you soo much for an amazing experience. The price was good value too would definitely recommend and visit again
I went here today for a birthday treat with my family and have to say this place is amazing, they catered for my son who is allergic to dairy, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are lovely and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be going again and highly recommend the place.
Just dropped in today on the off chance we could be fed! What a beautiful themed tea room, the service was fantastic our reception very welcome, the detail to the decor is brilliant it was perfectly done. Three in our party two are coeliac this was no problem at all, an off the cuff gluten/wheat free afternoon tea was served beautifully, what flavours! And the choices are amazing Wow is the best word to sum up this place, will most definitely be returning lots of times.... Thank you
Just opened a shop today in Canterbury and I stopped in. Great decour and ambiance, service, and the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Highly recommend.
We have just got back from our lovely visit to the Canterbury branch of Alice & The Hatter. We loved it so much. We loved the décor it was so amazing, loved the food and all the staff were so friendly and helpful especially our lovely waitress. We cant wait to visit this wonderful and amazing place again.

Very well themed cafe with a lot of effort made to the appearance. Friendly and professional staff. Some nice little touches such as 3-tier presentation of children’s meals. An all round great novelty cafe thats definitely worth a visit.
Absolutely beautiful place to come for lunch/ afternoon tea. Reasonably priced and very clean. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!

Cafe is small but so quirky!! Love all the extra's like door knobs to bathrooms,dodo,flamingo etc. Good menu and well worth a visit!
Was a lovely tea but just disappointed no free tea top up!! With all the sandwiches cakes and goodies, more tea is required and just a bit sad it’s charged for!!! Otherwise lovely!!
Great afternoon tea venue - quirky but cosy, good fun, delicious food, a great selection of teas and excellent value for money. We sat at The Queen’s Table which is definitely the best table to be at if you can get it. Will definitely be back.

Best place in town to take my little lady out for a scummy lunch. Fantastically themed and great tasting food all served wonderfully.

Lovely quirky tea room. Food was nice. Enjoyed our afternoon tea. Only suggestion would be one tiny pot of cream for the two large scones wasn't enough and for the cost would be nice to have enough. Apart from that if you want to go somewhere a little different would recommend.
Came in with my partner a few days ago and it was a brilliant experience! Love the theme, great atmosphere, beautiful decor and delicious food. Our waitress was also so bubbly and kind. Will definitely be back!

Popped in on the off chance when passing and we were lucky enough to get a table for two without booking first as it was very busy. Friendly staff. Lovely cup of tea and the food was delicious and very filling (had the afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and jam as well as a selection of little cakes and a small bottle of cherry fizz. Had to ask for a doggy bag/box to take away as we just couldn't finish it all. Fantastic decor too to match the Mad Hatters tea party theme. Highly recommended !
The afternoon tea was so tasty, the scones are some of the best we have tried and all the sandwiches and cakes were fresh and yummy. The way the cafe is decorated is great, we really enjoyed the whole experience!

We visited to celebrate my niece's birthday. This place is great - huge effort has gone into a consistent theme throughout the premises, even the toilets. The staff were polite, helpful and attentive and the afternoon tea itself was excellent. Highly recommended.
A good place to go with children. The food is pretty tasty and their cakes are generous. Whilst it is a little worn, the themed attention to detail is impressive.

I was blown away with how fantastic this place is. I arranged afternoon tea for 7 (3 with all different dietary requirements) and everything was faultless. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with all requirements catered for amazingly. The staff were friendly, welcoming and personable. The cafe is decorated with such thought and care.
I will most definitely be returning and spreading the word about this wonderful gem
Loved the interior, must have took lots of effort the themed menu is also cool. I only had a cappuccino with syrup (little bit pricey and although i d only ask for half a syrup shot, i couldn't taste it) didn't realise there was cake until we went round the corner and saw it. It looked really awesome and I'm gutted I didn't get chance to try some.
I think there were some drain works going on which made a fowl smell just before we were about to leave. Customer service was great, the staff were friendly.
Will be going back again and brining more pals who will love it.
Oh my gosh,what a hidden gem.My friend and I had a very magical afternoon tea.
We were not disappointed ,the finger sandwiches were delightful and very filling.The scones were as big as side plates and as for the top layer of desserts well we hadn't got room for them Doggy bags provided .We both ate the dainty,delightful fancies at home.
DO NOT MISS an opportunity to visit and try it for yourself,you will not be disappointed.All the staff were attentive and made the whole experience utterly delightful.

Always a pleasure to come here! Super happy to see it back open and running after a refurbishment, with a new and brilliant window bench booth. Food and drink is always great, awesome atmosphere, can't recommend it enough!
