We regularly come to the Double R for our delicious and freshly cooked fish and chips, which are still great value despite the necessary price increase. Lovely friendly owners, and staff too.
Fantastic fast wonderful service. Ordered by phone ready in less than 10min. Prices have increased again since last time we visited. Unfortunately, the Cod wasn't great, however lovely chips & the rest of the order was good.

On the whole, very good. The freshly baked fish needing wiping to take off the excess oil, while the large cod had been allowed to dry out and was rather tough. The chips were perfect. Their large portion of chips is very large compared to others. Thank you for the meal.
Great service at a time of difficulty in providing the best customer experience. Really good quality chips fried to perfection. Battered sausage was top quality with good layer of batter golden in colour. Sorry no photo this time

Can't fault the food here. Fish is gorgeous. Burgers are lovely. Chips are always delicious. Will always recommend to anyone who wants to go here.
They do great food for really good value. The service is fast and friendly and it's always a popular spot. There's some local parking available around the area if you can't walk, but I'd say it's better than anywhere else I've been locally.
