Having just moved to the area, I'm so happy to find this lovely clean and friendly family run café. Firstly the food is freshly cooked and you get plenty. The first visit I had the slimming world's breakfast, I mentioned I had a wheat allergy and was pleasantly surprised they have gluten-free bread.
Celebrated a team bonding evening at Mortimers. What a great time we all had. Karaoke, a pop quiz and the most delicious ploughman's platter ever! Staff worked so incredibly hard to make our evening special.
Wine was flowing, vocal chords busting, liads of laughter and great memories had by all.
Not been here before, but I will be back again having had a lovely Chicken roast dinner. Generous portion for a really good price. The breakfast another diner had looked good so I may try that next time. The place was busy, a good sign of good food.
Mortimers is easily the best cafe in Herne bay by far, in here everyday and never had a bad bit of food. Food is always cooked to perfection, their breakfast is definitely top. Staff are so friendly, always welcoming and always have a smile.

We have been visiting Mortimers for a few years now and can honestly say, we have never had a bad meal or service, staff are always happy and polite, nothing is a problem, would never dream of going anywhere else.
