Very busy restaurant/pub and we had not booked for Sunday lunch but lovely friendly staff found us a small table. The selection on the carvery was piping hot and plentiful. Served by a polite chef who carved the meat (choice of Beef, Pork and Turkey) who gave us a massive amount !. The food was delicious and well cooked. We had not eaten here before but we will definitely return and will book to ensure a table. Thank you The Bunch of Carrots

Beautiful pub inside, we always go for the carvery which is one of the best in Hereford. A good range of Weston ciders as well. THE CARVEY Pick the meat out of pork/beef/turkey or have a bit of all 3, then challenge yourself to see how much veg and roast potatoes you can tower on to your plate, well worth £16

Good location, steak sandwiches were nicely cooked and prepared. Good old fashioned feel. Coffee was lovely. £25 for two steak sandwiches and coffees.

Excellent Carvery lunch with first class service. The meat was extremely good and the self service selection of vegetables was both varied, well presented and beautifully cooked. The whole meal was most enjoyable and my only criticism was that the dessert apple pie pastry was slightly soggy and not quite as good as it should have been albeit that the custard was very good. Overall a good meal, nicely presented and good value.

Oh wow, what an amazing pub. Service, awesome. Food, fresh, tasty and awesome. Surroundings, awesome. Really old world feel to it with excellent beer. I had the carvery which was massive but quality. Easily the best I've ever had and I'm pretty picky. Hereford Pal Ale was top too. We also had fajitas which were surprisingly good for a pub, arrived sizzling, hot and fresh.

Get the carvery!!! The carver gives massive chunks of meat and the vegetable selection, although limited, is very tasty. The roast potatoes are amazing! Had an excellent time here! Our waitress was amazing, Amy. She was so bubbly and made the experience worth every penny. So much so, we went back the next day. Will definitely visit again.

We came here with the family and the dog whilst on holiday. We booked in advance as there were 6 of us. There is a nice authentic country pub atmosphere. The bar area is dog friendly and the staff were very welcoming and accomodating. We brought a birthday cake with us and the staff were happy to light it and bring it through at the appropriate time. The food is good and the portions are generous, but I did feel it was overpriced, especially got eating on a family budget. Menu selection is fairly typical pub grub. There isn't much choice or flexibility in the children's menu. Usually they have a carvery available but due to staff illness it wasn't running in time for us to order from it. Location next to a river walk is nice. I'd come here again with my wife after a long walk with the dog, but probably wouldn't come with the kids as the total price was prohibitive.

My mother and I have been there on four occasions. The food and service is absolutely excellent! The staff are so friendly and professional. Yes, the food has to be good at an establishment, but for me personally, great staff make the whole dining experience exceptional! I'd especially like to mention the assistant manager - Ollie, for listening to me waffling on during our recent visit 😅. He is a very polite and courteous young man. We will be back soon! ☺️👍

It's a nice pub and has a real weekend afternoon feeling to it. The Sunday carvery is more expensive than others in the area at £17 for an adult and £6.50 for a small ice cream afterwards. The front carpark also needs rethinking as manoeuvring is tricky when it's busy.
