We came here on a very dull and rainy afternoon for lunch and it was still rather busy, so assume it is a locals favourite.
Service was with a friendly smile and was swift and efficient. Some excellent choices of drinks as well as food, something for everyone, the half hungry or starving!
Decent non alcoholic drinks / beers for the drivers of this world which was nice!
Opted for the fresh plaice and deer steak both succulent and perfectly cooked and proportions were perfect.
Prices on par with others in the area, all very clean and spacious, there are a lot of decent eateries in Henley but this one is in definitely in the top half.
Large bistro restaurant with a variety of seating areas, bar and garden. Service was friendly and menu has something for everyone. We shared a crispy flatbread and had salads to follow (super greens with halloumi / chicken Caesar), both fresh, well dressed and tasty.
Great music, great service, great food, and not too busy! Would recommend if you're in Henley.
This is a wonderful place to eat, great food but some may feel it is expensive. Food worth it though.. We visited during the Henley regatta period but we were able to walk in and grab a table, they advised they have some for walk-in diners. We sat in the garden, lovely atmosphere and surroundings. Great selection of beverages including several gins which we just had to try. Would go back if in Henley.
2 amazing cocktails and mouthwatering sorbets. Great taste, relaxing venue, fabulous service from the cocktail barman. Very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. Would definitely revisit.
Dinner with friends for this occasion, shared between us some of the Cote de boeuf .The meat was cooked perfectly and was tender and full of flavour, stake is accompanied by loads of sides and sauces . We did had some starters and the stand out was the ham hock croquettes so delicious. Service was attentive to.
If you are wanting somewhere to go to blow your mind, head over to this place! Honestly the best meal I have had in years! We had the pork Lion which melted in your mouth, and then we had the crème brulé! The best Brulé in England by far!

Our dinner here was delicious, we had Sunday roast which came with plenty of meat, although a disappointing amount of potatoes, we think they must have been running out because the 'roasts' on the menu were swapped out for Parmentier potatoes, which were approximately a quarter of a potato finely diced. There was good portions of everything else though, especially the tender roast beef.
It was also a little odd to have so many spirits on the drinks menu (must've been 10 pages at least) without a single suggestion of a cocktail.
It's a shame to not have the menu online, a simple image on the website or here on Google would suffice, but there is one on the door if you are in the area.
The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated, with a modern style and nice open kitchen. However the table we were seated at was a lower table intended for the bar, I think if we'd booked we might have gotten a more comfortable, higher, table in the restaurant area.
Would recommend visiting, and our meal was tasty. Few factors letting it down, but nothing that spoilt our day.

Food was delicious but the waitresses were clearly confused about the menu, how the dishes were served so my friend who’s vegetarian ended up having her meal in several different rounds, which made her feel a bit awkward as we have finished our meals and she kept receiving food and still left hungry. Her meal was discontinued from the bill but still a very unpleasant experience.
One of the family faves for food locally. We love the ham croquettes. Little balls of joy! HST is a great place to come in the summer - the walled garden adds a light and airy feel to the restaurant and you can imagine being much further away from the high street than you are.
Oscar bartender is awesome.
Only had a Cesar salad but it was yummy!
