Beautiful old pub, lots of quirky features and decorations. The pub is a stones throw from the river and has a lovely walled garden in the rear. Great selection of local beers and wines, didn't eat but the food that was being served looked and smelt amazing. The landlord and lady were very friendly and accommodating.
Would thoroughly recommend for a drink or a bite to eat if in the area
We didn't eat , just popped in for a (3) quick pint, Brakspears Oxford gold ( Gorgeous) Bertie our border was made very welcome. We will be back soon to try the menu π
Nice pub good seating areas inside and out
Beautiful pub, amazing staff. Despite it being slightly busy, we were seated and served food within 20 minutes. Will definitely visit again and am very happy with the new management.
Nice beer garden facing the sun π and just happened to see the flyover during regatta weekend.
Lovely atmosphere, very accommodating, come in sometimes with friends and every time it is never any hassle to facilitate our needs. I cannot stress everytime we make an appearance on a whim we are well looked after by the bar maid and wider staff, cannot fault their attentiveness and positivity. Either way, amazing service, great beer, lovely food especially the specialist, more so the red deer. Very hospitable, lovely people would recommend a visit every day of the week.
Lovely little pub, outside area is great.
Staff were fantastic, friendly and very dog friendly. We had a pasty which came very fast was piping hot and was full of flavour, beer was perfect too, obviously they keep their beer well.
Great pub right one the river with two separate outside areas. One for dining and one for drinking. Good selection of beers, friendly staff and dig friendly.
Great new management, food was great and staff are very friendly and attentive. This place is definitely in good hands and cannot wait to visit again.
No waiting for a pint, quick service and a decent pint of ale or lager... Whatever takes your fancy. Friendly bar staff... All good π
Decent Brakspears pub by the river. Beer and wine were good, as was the food. Problem getting in to the pub. There are three doors. One has a handle. Turn the handle and push the door. Or ring the bell by the handle like many customers did. It's the left most door facing the pub.
Old traditional pub. Great atmosphere and food. When in Henley cannot miss.
Lovely pub, great Sunday lunch on Mother's day too. We hadn't booked but they managed to feeds us. Perfect roast lunch all round. Thank you all so much.
Nice friendly pub with out door tables, darts and tv sports close to river

Had an amazing roast beef lunch, (walk-in at Noon) crispy potatoes, lovely veg, side of cauliflower cheese (unexpected), not stingy on the gravy, tender beef, perfectly cooked pink, friendly staff, great value, highly recommend, definitely my new go to for Sunday roast in Henley. Traditional pub atmosphere, lovely lunch!
