Our friends recommended you to us, and boy are we glad we made the drive to visit for lunch today!!!! Absolutely FANTASTIC food, and the plates were well put together with a lot of thought put into the menu. We went for ALC and every dish was perfectly executed and delicious. I can personally recommend the pigs cheek starter, and the fallow deer main, my other half had the mackerel with beetroot and horseradish creme followed by the chicken. We had a side of cabbage, and it really was the best cabbage I have ever tasted, buttery and cooked to perfection. We also managed to scoff a pud each, which again, were fabulous. Great wine list, and reasonably priced. We will be back! Thank you ever so, a great local (ish!) find!

Excellent decor, service, food, wine list, superb. Prices are not much higher than you would pay for a pub restaurant pretending to be this good. Highly recommend.

I was fortunate to be invited to have lunch with family at the recently opened Bottle and Glass. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and many were sitting outside eating bar snacks but we opted for a table in the newly refurbished restaurant, also a bright and welcoming space. The staff were friendly and attentive albeit very busy. The lunch did not disappoint. Top marks to the Chef. The cod I chose was really fresh and the chocolate dessert was melt in the mouth delicious. Accompanied with a superb chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc what more could one ask for! The bill? That didn't disappoint either it was very reasonable. I shall be returning soon eagerly to sample dinner!

Discovered this gastro pub by chance as we were having a Sunday walk in the woods next to the pub. Great variety of starters, mains and desserts. Beautiful food presentations and great flavours along with a good selection of wines, all at a reasonable cost. My new favourite pub in the Reading area.

The two sides of this pub and restaurant and the garden offer the best of English. Excellent food and a proper and cosy pub with expansive garden and terrace for the good weather. The team and the menu do the location fitting justice.

Lovely lunch here at the weekend. The pub has been done up really nicely - the old bar is cosy and characterful and the dining room is beautiful and airy. And the food was outstanding! Try the pork belly if they have it on the menu again! Can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the garden.

Wow! Popped in on Saturday for a drink after seeing all the fb posts. Thought they’d not be able to seat us as car park was full, but they had room out the back. Beautiful! Staff were amazing and got enticed my a delicious menu. Complementary bread, was the most amazing bread we have ever consumed we will be back again! Thank you!

Lovely pub and excellent food. I would have given 5 stars of it weren't for the fact that they charge more on s Sunday. The 2 course set menu is £32 on Sundays. I had one course and was charged £24.50 for the fish and chips, which on their main menu (not Sunday) is priced at £18.50. Left a slight aftertaste on what would otherwise have been a perfect meal. Worth mentioning that we were served by a lovely gentleman who lip-reads. His attentiveness was faultless. So, as I said, just a shame that my group of 8 felt sloglty cheated for being surcharged on a Sunday. I personally have not seen a pub do that before.

Lovely place, lovely location. The staff were friendly and attentive. And the interior aesthetic was warm and welcoming. The menu is eclectic with something for everyone. The food is to a high standard and couldn't fault at all. Highly recommended. Will be returning next opportunity I have.

This is a bijou gastro-pub and our first visit. It has 3 bedrooms, all modernised and tastefully furnished with very comfortable beds. The rooms are quiet and relaxing. The staff were all lovely - very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The pub has quite a large dining room in a new extension at the rear. It offers a set menu on certain days and an À la carte. We opted for the set menu as it was well balanced and also included a glass of wine, all in for £25. It was well presented and delicious. What's not to like? If you're working, be warned breakfast isn't served until 9:00am, but it's well worth waiting for as the chefs prepare it. As we travel down from Manchester to see old friends in Henley regularly, we'll certainly be back, always assuming we can get in. It was a lovely stay in a classic rural location.

Sunday roast is one of the best in the area, other food is just as good. The barn is a great venue on its own but could do with a toilet nearer.

Nice pub/restaurant with friendly staff. Small menu in the evening but well cooked/presented. Would prefer more vegetables included on the plate not at £5 extra per vegetable.

Lovely olde worlde pub in the sticks with great food. Just had lunch but good food at sensible price. Really enjoyed the Caesar salad for starter and Cornish Hake for mains both off the set menu with a glass of wine included

Lovely countryside restaurant / pub with a nice garden and terrasse. Not cheap but the quality is there. We had the chicken as starter and the flat iron and pasta for dinner. Everything was very good except the peppercorn sauce (just water?) and the pasta meal was fairly light.

Wow,wow. What a lovely pub. Stayed here overnight. The rooms are fantastic with glorious views. The food ( evening meal and breakfast) are exceptional and reasonably price. The staff are attentive and there to make sure the guests have a wonderful experience. Close to Henley-on-Thames and stunning glorious countryside. If you read this review, I would fully recommend booking if you are looking for a stay in the area.

Nice venue and really cool pub. Staff were actually very nice but just thought it was a bit stupid that it was only table service outside as that just meant you were sitting around for ages waiting for a pint with the poor servers running everywhere. Food was 👍
