Called for a drink and decided to have Sunday lunch. Staff were lovely and sorted us a table for 2, even though they were extremely busy. Roast pork dinner and chicken were both nice. Ample vegetables came separately, and we asked for extra gravy, and it was no trouble to them.
Courteous, friendly staff and great food, definitely above average. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I got to the pub after a long hike, the last few hours in persistent rain... I was tired, cold, hungry, sweaty and muddy, but they didn't bat an eyelid! Very welcoming!
Great pub friendly staff great food and a great chef they purchase local products and their meat from next door a very renowned butchers,go there!!!!!
Great food, lovely atmosphere! Stopped for roast dinner, reasonably priced, huge portions and gigantic Yorkie to top the meal 100% recommend
A really nice pub. The Boat House at the back is a nice place to have a drink.
Had a really nice Sunday roast, food was amazing and the staff and service were awesome. Would definitely recommend and really cosy, welcoming atmosphere. One of my favourite pubs in Henley.
Brilliant Sunday roast, especially the chicken and the vegan wellington. Big portions and they even brought extra gravy on the house. Staff were really helpful, especially regarding allergens and bringing more tap water without us having to ask.
Popped in here for a quick pint, whilst the weather turned nasty... Outside space has a nice waterproof cover... So all good. The pub's right on the square in the centre of town and has a decent selection of drinkies and seating areas.
Excellent roast & great service. All freshly cooked and sourced ingredients with locally sourced meat. Lovely cosy pub with real fire
An absolute surprise. We were walking down the road thinking what to have for lunch. It’s Sunday so might as well have roast. From a pub that we have nevertheless eaten from before. We didn’t expect much. We ordered just standard 4 beef roast and some pints. The roast came with beautiful thick 2 pie
Excellent pub, friendly staff and fantastic food, the camembert sharing platter and truffle fries were exceptional 😋
Good food, staff very good. Well worth a try.
Great Sunday lunch Beautiful pub and friendly staff Highly recommended.
Proper pub, good food, beer and atmosphere. Only small but beer garden is a treat.
Everything you can ask for in a pub. This pub has a warm and welcoming atmosphere when you walk in. There was a warm fire that was lit, which made the whole place feel very cosy. Great selection of drinks (particularly nice espresso martini). The staff are very friendly and make the whole place feel
Delicious food for a Sunday Roast ! We absolutely loved it all and the service was impeccable. I have the vegetarian and was the best O have had in a long time. Dessert was also a dream definitely go for the chocolate brownie and ice cream 👌🏼We would recommend it to everyone !! Gemma
Great pub with excellent food and incredible service - will be back for the Rugby World Cup!!!
The chicken liver patè is amazing but quite small in comparison to other restaurants. We made our own board of cheese and antipasta for £15.95. the cheese selections come very small, except for the cheddar. The Eton mess pudding is simply strawberries, cream and meringue, so very rich and it comes i
