The band I'm in played here. Right from the start, the staff treated us with kindness and respect. We were paid (always a surprise and a bonus), given food and a beer, and the Friars had their own sound engineer to help us set up.

I DJ'ed here (in the nightclub) for a private party and the staff were so accommodating, I was made to feel part of the family. No one was any trouble and everyone said what a brilliant night they had. Got shown how the sound system worked (which is a first.for a "plug and play" venue) and my light
This is now my regular Wednesday lunch spot. The team here are fantastic and the food... amazing!!
As a band that plays here regularly we always have a great time and are well taken care of. Best punk venue in Hemel, highly recommend checking it out!
A Lovely little pub, Great booze and great grub all in a friendly atmosphere. The live bands they have on will put Hemel on the map as the best little music venue, outside of London ☆☆☆☆☆

A hidden gem. Why it's not constantly full is some sort of twist in the universe.

Stan behind the bar makes my night the best it could be after a hard day at work. The best service someone could receive and can hold a good, intellectual and interesting conversation. That’s hard to find in Hertfordshire pubs let alone local Hemel Hempstead boozers. Top dude, deserves a raise!! Qua

Haven’t been in here for years. Popped in to see a friend and what a good job they have done to pub. Really lovely polite welcoming staff members with a great atmosphere. I will happy return.
What an amazing venue, a hidden gem. Staff friendly, prices good live music brilliant
Food is amazing, plenty of options on drinks. Pool tables to play on, dartboards and also a free jukebox.
Love to see a place with lots of events and Live bands.

Under new management. Selection of more craft beers and ciders than mainstream stuff. Bands and events on Facebook page. NEW: now serving food Wed-Sat. Mixture of South African, traditional pub and Eastend grub. Sunday is roasts.
