We used the cafe upstairs and the staff were so helpful and went out of their way to help us. Myself and my son had a lovely time enjoying a breakfast together. Even better was that his meal was free. Well done Marks Hemel

You can always guarantee the quality of anything you buy here. Currently there is a wide range of boots to choose from as we go into winter. Christmas decorations are up and more are for sale and lots of Christmas presents to choose from

I do like M&S they have a good selection of clothes and they are well made. Plus you can get half size jeans in there, not everyone has a 30 inch inside leg! So a 29 inch is perfect for me. And they look stylish which ever style you get. Straight, comfort, slim etc.

Never any huge queues, great service form staff. The cafe upstairs is small and the staff sometimes, very openly, discuss how run off their feet they are. but it always serves tasty food and coffee regardless and is a refreshing change to the mobbed cafes outside

Good produce if you arrive early. Nice cafe as well but it does get very busy at times. Also, not a great range of slippers for children and not many socks either but other than that, it is a good shop.

One of the smaller stores, but quite a lot of choice. Not very busy though. Fitting rooms should be checked regularly as there were quite a few discarded hangers on the floor and labels, no one checking what was being taken into fitting rooms. Lady at till nice.

I had my shopping stolen while in the cafeteria today. Inside was a very expensive pair of leather trousers that i had literally just collected, a pair of leather gloves lined with cashmere and a mans blue jumper. I was distraught and felt physically sick. My shopping was in a marks and Spencer's reusable pocket bag and was right next to me. The staff were incredible. They offered me a drink and called the manager Lisa. She was so understanding and took steps to try and identify who had taken them along with the help of another manager Mario. They will be checking CCTV and reporting it to the police. Be warned if you are out doing your Christmas shopping. Keep an eye on your shopping and your surroundings. And a massive thank you to Lisa and Mario for all your help. I am so grateful for the lengths that you and your staff went to so as to calm me and retrieve my shopping.

Generally ok, but requires a lot more vegetarian lunch options please. Plus some self service tills would be appreciated as I always end up having to use the standard tills due to the basket only tills always being closed.

The Hemel Hempstead M&S, is maybe smaller than most, and being an old store a little dated in places, but you know what, none of that really matters. The store itself is well laid out on 2 floors, with a restaurant, and decent food hall. The clothing choice maybe limited compared to some, but it's kept tidy, and there's still a pretty good selection across the ranges. The customer service was excellent on my most recent visit during the busy Christmas period, and was still able to find a staff member to answer a query.
