The best fish and chip there is in Hertfordshire. Fish is fresh and food is always cooked to perfection! You pay for what you get and the portions are generous to. Credit to all the staff there that work hard to make it an award winning chippie! 🎣 🍟

Blinking delicious! Literally can’t remember the last time I ever had such a decent chip shop dinner! The haddock was cooked perfectly. The burger was a decent quality meat burger and not filled with off cuts, and real cheese slices, crunchy lettuce. The chips are wholesome chunky decent chips that are ooooo proper potato decent chunk chip shop chips, that are delicious!!!!! Curry sauce is lip smacking. Cooked fresh and to order. Literally can’t find even a minute fault with this chippy. Am 100% going back without question!

Original review: The only reason why I don't give 5 is due to staff tolerating highschool student's attitude that bothers other customers. Including giving them chips straight away when there is a queue way before they entered (though, I'm actually happy about that as they leave at least). The attitude includes them invading personal space of other customers because they can't bother going on the other side of the shot where it's empty, leaving the door open, if you're waiting for your turn to order or pick up your meal, they put themselves in between as a wall (this is why I said, I'm actually glad they get thir chips or whatever they ordered and just leave). And just to re clarify, my 1 star deduction is not because the students do something serious or outrageous, it's purely because of thir attitude that is tolerated by staff despite being close enough to greet each other by name. And i post here instead of filing an complaint because I'm sure nothing will change if I file a complaint but here, at least I can give a heads up for other people to not have thir day, or apatite, ruined because of them, and if possible to avoid hours when school ended for best results

This is the best fish and chip shop in the whole of Hemel Hempstead. Ignore the bad comments on this restaurant. It is really good. The fish is massive and the batter is nice and crispy. The chips are also chunky and are served in a big portion. I love this place and I love eating there. I know that this is just a takeout but they could maybe make the fish and chip a restaurant where you can eat inside. I know that that is difficult because the shop is small and it is by many other shops in Henry Wells Square but it would help increase the clientele for this place. Remember, Nando's did not have a lot of clientele until they did eat inside restaurants. In fact, Nando's was at risk of closure in the UK at one point, before they introduced eat in restaurants in the UK. So, just ignore the bad comments about this restaurant because honestly it is really good and you are always going to have some sort of customers who do not like your restaurant. In the end, they will hopefully get more customers in and make more profits from their good quality of food.
