27/10/23: Hemel Hempstead Weekend: visiting friends John & Hazel for the weekend, myself Lynette & Bryan enjoyed a lovely meal. The waiter was very friendly and friends of John & Hazel. Our meal was fantastic and staff very helpful in selecting a different curry from our usual choice!
Excellent food, we took our friends who had awful serive at the Saffron, the staff at bengal spice showed how real service should be, they we're welcoming, polite, attentive and friendly. A lovely quiet night with a friendly atmosphere. We will be back.
We always get a take away and is always perfect so today we thought we’d eat in and it did not disappoint. The service is 10/10 food is amazing and is very good price.
Food is always good, the meal deal is a reasonable price and staff are always friendly. Car park just across the road and close to the town centre. They do take away pick up also and have a bar.
Worth a visit.

Fantastic!
I got a take away from here on Sunday and was delighted with my experience. When I got it home, the food was nice and hot, the chicken was so tender and the mushroom rice was perfectly cooked. I've been looking further afield as my recent experiences around Hemel have not been so good. I'm so pleased to have found a restaurant that is so close to home and with such delicious food.
After placing my order, I was talking to the waiter (owner!) and he was saying that his dad has owned the restaurant for many years and was in the kitchen, cooking the food. The care that his dad takes in preparing the food was obvious when I got it home.
The flavours were perfect, portions were generous and there was not the problem of over-use of oil which I have found at many other establishments.
The importance of a business being family owned cannot be overstated. This place really values its' customers as a result of the family connection to the business and take great pride in what they provide.
The Bengal Spice will be my regular take-away (or restaurant) and I can't wait to explore some of their more modern/unusual dishes as I'm confident that when they get the basics so perfect, it follows that they will take the same pride in their whole menu.
Eat in or take away a great service and excellent food.
Recommend to anyone looking for an excellent Indian meal cooked to perfection.
Come here 3/4 times a year with a big group and we always get the Banquet.
Staff are so great and always accommodate any requests. They're always happy to give any information on dishes as well. Must recommend for a place to go as a family/friend group meal.
Staff are always friendly and the banquet menu of a starter, main, naan, rice and vegetable side dish all for a total cost of £10.95 from Sunday to Friday you really cannot go wrong. Whenever I take a new group of friends there they always say that they will go back

Had a fantastic meal here with friends,service was prompt and very friendly,everything we had was good and all the dishes had a fresh taste sometimes lacking in Indian restaurants.The wines available were all good quality and very keenly priced and the complimentary liqueurs and hot towels were a nice surprise. Even the bill was less than anticipated,we will be back for sure.
Me and my mate just had food here. We work all over the country, this is by far the best Indian food I've had the pleasure of eating. The beer was crisp the service was brilliant and the food was something else. As for the price, very reasonable, absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended the bengal spice. See you tomorrow guys

Food is delicious and banquet offer makes it the perfect price. Staff are friendly and happy to accommodate. Also if you can't eat all your food they are happy to package it for you to take away.
A lovely curry in a relaxed setting. The food and service was once again first class. Bengal spice is great value for money. We had a great evening and feel nicely full.
