Lovely location on the canal for a sunny afternoon. food not bad for the price. nOt going to win any awards but decent enough pub grub. Lovely service, nice beers, old school welcoming homely vibe indoors.
A beautiful ancient pub with funny little sayings on the beams about women and wine. A tasty pint and full of atmosphere. Highly recommend.
What a unique place. Incredible location but think twice about getting in & out in a huge motorhome!! Stunning little find for a lunch stopover. Lovely staff & great food.
Popped in for a drink en route to Tring via canal walk so wasn't there that long but lovely spot next to the canal. Staff very friendly.
I would give 10 stars if I could. The food was perfect, the service friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant sitting by the canal as the sun is glimmering behind the leafy trees. What a dreamy place.
Driving along we saw this cute pub with outside seating so as it was so sunny we stopped and had a lovely coffee and the best tuna melted cheese sandwich. Sat outside by the canal was fantastic 👌 The staff very nice too. Will definitely go back again
Friendly staff and the people. I enjoyed the view to the canal while drinking and eating the amazing tapas. Everything for good price.
What a wonderful experience we had here. I had the venison Bourgogne, with horseradish mash. I can’t recall having such a good stew for some time... also some really nice ales and stouts, a fireplace and Christmas ambience by the river made for an excellent dinner.
Fantastic location and great staff, very helpful when needed baby change. Just needs more vegan options for 5* food from us, but what we had was great.
Last time I was here was 50years ago. First pub I was ever taken to. Food was good drinks good friendly service and excellent location.
Lovely pub with a nice garden by the side of the canal. Plenty of free parking. Very helpful & friendly staff, we weren’t kept waiting for anything. I think the food was maybe a little on the pricey side for what you receive. Although, it was a very nice & simple roast dinner with quick and helpful
What a fantastic place. It's a shame we never had tine to try the food. We shall be back to correct this. Venue spot on and lovely staff
Very nice cafe at the canal. You can watch all the boats passing by. Good coffee, self service ( at least in our visit) . A bit pricey. Very old historic building. They have big umbrellas so even if it rains u can still have your coffee.
Travelled up from Birmingham with my daughter for a day out at Drift Limits an after Googling local food we came up Lucky with this local diamond in a picturesque location, even getting to witness the brigde opening up to let a barge through on the canal. We setled for a table outside next to the w
Always a warm welcome, delicious food, decent price point, and good atmosphere. Nothing is ever a bother, happy to make changes for fussy child eaters.
