This delightful and traditional tearoom is located in the old town. It's a great little place at anytime. Customer service efficient and very friendly/welcoming. Me and boyfriend have been in here a couple of times. The first time we had a pot of tea and sandwiches and took home a slice of carrot cake. Next time we popped in for coffee and cake. He had a huge slice of lemon cake and said ''it was so refreshing and the best he had tasted.'' I had the fruit scone. The scone came with a good amount of cream and jam it was divine, and you could smell the scones coming. A slice of cake will set you back £2.50 and is worth every penny. You get such a big portion and even better, it's homemade! I would definitely recommend it.

It is an amazing tea shop on the Old Town High Street. One steps back in time with the music and tea cup collection! Had a lovely "booked" tea on Saturday afternoon. What a spread! 4 of us and no way could we eat everything!! The best place ever, a great selection and it's all home made, tasty and fresh. Cannot fault it!!

This is the best tea room I have been to before. My favourite place! Absolutely friendly staff and the place has a very relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this tea room to anyone. I go there with my 11 month old and they have a cute little toy section. The food is home made and absolutely delicious :) you should definitely try the scones :)

That was a seriously Amazing afternoon tea... I can't recommend The Tea Tree highly enough... When I booked I told them I was a diabetic and if they could substitute with more savoury than sweet... What I got was more than beyond good service, Anita had gone to the effort to to make cakes with honey and also the lemon posset with sweetener so I could enjoy the whole experience... And there was so much to enjoy, got doggy bags to take home too... The freshly homemade savouries were so tasty.... I cannot wait to go back even if it's just for lunch... The whole team were so friendly and you felt like old friends when you walked in...Thank you...xx Like I said, highly recommended...

I visited this tea shop for an afternoon tea with a couple of friend. It was so lovely , we felt so welcomed from the very first moment of stepping through the door. We were asked to choose a selection of sandwiches that were made freshly for us, along with some freshly baked mini quiches and sausage rolls. The owner was very tentative and always made sure we were topped up with fresh tea and coffee. Then a great selection on scones and cakes came out that were delicious. We were not rushed in any way and were assured that If we couldn't manage to eat all of our food, that it would be boxed for us to take home and enjoy later. I will 100% be going back . Thank you The Tea Tree. X

Had lunch today at the Tea Tree in old high street, Hemel. Had the leek and potato soup and it was the best I have ever tasted. Lovely granary thick sliced bread with it. Excellent service by the two lovely ladies who could not do enough for you. Highly recommended and worth a visit.

Had an afternoon tea at The Tea Tree and could not recommend more - my boyfriend and I ended up going home with two takeaway boxes of cakes because we were so full! Best afternoon tea I’ve had. Everything was so delicious and definitely worth the price. The staff were very kind and helpful.

My daughter and I had afternoon tea here for the first time last week. I couldn’t believe my eyes when they brought out our afternoon tea. The sandwiches were lovely & fresh, homemade quiche & coleslaw. There were 4 different types of cake plus a scone each & 2 little lemon desserts. We ate one of the cakes but had to take the remaining cakes home. I ate the rest of the cakes the following day, they were absolutely delicious. ( my only criticism is the banana cake, I couldn’t really taste the banana, it had more of a cinnamon flavour) but overall the best afternoon tea I’ve had to date !

Such cute presentation of foods and drinks. It was a really fun place to sit in and chill. The people that work there are friendly and the menu is well priced. Not your average cafe and it is a charity tha supports the community which is a big plus!!

What a lovely place to come for afternoon tea. Everything we had was delicious. There was so much to choose from, from Cucumber Sandwiches, Quiches and some lovely scones and cream to some very lovely cup cakes... The service was very warm and welcoming. A must if you are in the area...

Food was excellent, service fast and considered (order of food to bring cake after bacon roll, appreciated all the more as the cake was served warm). Bacon roll, with latté and orange drizzle cake came to £8. Good quality coffee. Good setting. One gripe was that I was sat next to the cd player for the room which played the same track on repeat for the whole time I was there. Cards accepted.

Had a lovely tea this afternoon at The Tea Tree, very friendly attentive ladies looking after us, and lovely cakes and scones. The Lemon posit was delicious and enjoyed by all. The quiche was warm and very tasty with homemade coleslaw. There were cakes and sandwiches left over and we all took something home in a box. Thank you for a lovely treat, sharing with family and friends. 🥳✅

This was the 2nd time Ive had afternoon tea. It was delicious and the ladies are lovely. My hubby loved it too. We took most of the cakes home as we were full. The scones were so light and fluffy (mine are usually like small boulders). I highly recommend this lovely tea room.

Absolutely incredible. I kid you not the food is so good that every time I tried the next item, it was better than the last. We went for the afternoon tea selection and the selection was perfect. I'm not really one for quiche or banana bread but here it is delicious as it is exquisite. Highly recommended. My only flaw is that I can only rate it 5 stars. This place deserves another 5. And if you can't finish the cakes, they even box them for you to take home which I needed to do.... and I eat like a hungry hippo. Phenomenal

I took advantage of the takeaway afternoon tea service for my Mum's birthday. It was amazing. This is the second time I've had afternoon tea from the Tea Tree and its literally the best I've ever had. The food is home-baked and so fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend the Tea Tree to anybody. The food was so well packed for the takeaway to keep it nice and fresh for the journey home.
