Excellent Southern Indian restaurant. Very high quality food, the menu is well priced for the quality and quantity. Great friendly service & helpful staff to answer any questions if you are confused about what to order. Great location in Hemal Hempstead Old Town with convenient parking, chargeable between 08:00-16:00. Will definitely visit again!

Cochin is possibly the best Indian restaurant in town. The foods are authentic with excellent quality. Services are extremely friendly and good. Do not miss to order their desserts which are so yummy. We enjoyed the whole experiences very much. Highly recommended !

restaurant with a South Indian name only. There are many multicultural individuals present, many of whom I believe enjoy Indian sweet curry. I put cleanliness in restaurants first. tasty food pleasant staff excellent food quality and quantity. But I'm not sure if the price is comparable. One way street plan parking accordingly ,must be reserve space in advance to avoid waiting and missing out on the opportunity.

The best restaurant in town for authentic Kerala food. Had dinner with family and friends. The best experience with food and services. I could feel the authentic taste of Kerala fish recipes. Hats off !! No words. Tried Fish molly, and was awesome!! Crab curry was best combination with paalappam. On top lime soda was soothing.Service and the staff were excellent. Definitely will visit again.Ambience was perfect, feel home. Pocket friendly , easily noticeable from busy traffic. Accept cash and card. Parking is not easy near by. On a one way road.

We had a delicious meal marred only by loudmouth drunks. Clearly not the restaurant's fault. Service was top notch. The aubergine starter was perfect - not oily. The masala dosa was delicious as were the crab thorn and lamb. We'll certainly return and hope to have better luck with fellow diners

Poppadom selection we were suggested as a sharing plate was rather small, tasty but condiments served in smallest ramekins I've seen. Fish Tali was good but a couple of the veg options let it down. Would defo visit again as what was good was really good. All waitresses and waiters super helpful and polite. See u soon

Went for a meal here last night. Lovely food and great service. The staff were all really friendly! This is a authentic Southern Indian food and not as spicy as your standard Indian dishes but very tasty. I had a Prawn starter and Kingfish curry main plus we had a nan bread, also different and much lighter in texture. At the end of the night we were offered a complementary drink and as it was my wife's birthday they brought her a very nice banana dish with icecream. Old Hemel is def the best place in the town to head for a night out and plenty of pubs within a few yards to try out. 😋

4.5 stars. With a lovely setting in Hemel’s Old Town, if you want something a bit different from your standard Indian restaurant, you can’t go wrong with Cochin, which specialises in Keralan cuisine. The restaurant is quite small with an intimate atmosphere. There are a variety of dishes on the menu from dosas, to fish dishes, or the crab curry. All are delicious and portions are generous. We loved the crab curry. You might avoid it if you don’t like anything fiddly, due to having to dig the meat out of the shells, but for us it was worth the effort. The dosa looked very impressive and was enormous, as well as tasty. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Hemel Hempstead.
