We rented a property across the road from this lovely old Inn. Great hosts, super food, especially my spinach and ricotta cannelloni and gorgeous merlot! Well worth a visit!
Andrew and Antony’s pub is such a welcoming place. One of my favourite pubs in the locality. Warm, hospitable and great company.

A hidden gem... the atmosphere was wonderful, the food was wonderful, however the service was unbeatable. Whilst on holiday in Cornwall, we passed this place and so glad we booked a meal. We had a wonderful time at the Star inn. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and Anthony was the perfect host. He went the extra mile even recommending a great place to take our dog a walk. The food and wine was delicious (Thank you Andrew!). Would highly recommend
We decided to try and book in here very last minute and Andrew was very good to find us a table close to the time we asked for. Front of house, Anthony and the young barman were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home immediately offering a really personal service.

Outstanding!! As visitors to the area we were made to feel very welcome and the food was so good. We ate there every night of our 3 night stay and Antony was a tremendous host.
We visited tonight for the first time and we had a really lovely time. Food was delicious, quick service, really friendly owners. The pub is decorated well and cleanliness is to a high standard. Looking forward to visiting again very soon and seeing the dogs 😍

Lovely pub in the middle of nowhere. Generous portions of petty standard Sunday lunch fare. But there was no one in the pub at 2pm on a Sunday. We were the only people there the whole time.
