Was pleasantly surprised to actually find a fish and chips shop open on a Sunday evening. The "small" portion was very generous when compared with the other fish and chip shop situated on the main street.(which I have to say were rubbish) Fish, chips, mushy, peas, scraps, tomato sauce and a cuppa tea
Their small fish and chips special has to be the best value meal deal going. Lively environment, friendly staff and food and drink which couldn't be improved upon. Add to that, an owner who really understands the meaning of customer service and you're pretty close to perfection. Helmsley itself is n
Very nice I asked for a small portion of fish and chips which was very nice indeed. Roasting hot as well, I was able to sit inside the shop and eat my fish and chips. I can definitely recommend Scott's fish and chips takeaway in Helmsley.
Had great food at Scotts fish & Chip restaurant earlier this evening. We received exceptionally good service from Carole, our waitress - (unlike the service we experienced from a male waiter at Scotts a few weeks ago). Tonight, nothing was too much trouble and we all left feeling we’d had a great me
We always go to Scott’s when we’re in the area. Fantastic food, well cooked, good sized portions and the staff are brilliant. Carole served us tonight. Her customer service was second to none. I would highly recommend a visit. It’s great reputation does make it busy at times but it’s well worth th
Lovely pla(I)CE just off the market square. Very attentive staff, gorgeous fish and crisp chips cooked to order.
Their go to dish was too much for us, so we had the o.a.p. choice, plenty of it too.
With the fish & chips come mushy peas, tea, bread & butter, and if you've room, a choice of ice creams
After a long drive from Littleborough to Whitby, we stopped off at Scotts of Helmsley on the way back and enjoyed an excellent plate of 'fish and chips'. Staff were really friendly especially Mollie and Lewis. Well worth a visit if you're in that area.
Great fish and chips. Friendly staff, loads of seats inside & out
A very nice cod and chips takeaway cooked just right on a Tuesday lunchtime. Both the fish and chips were free from any of the sogginess associated with excessive grease. Definitely worth a try.
We called in after 6 on a Saturday, we were seated easily and served quickly with very good cod and chips accompanied by mushy peas, bread and Tea. The tea was very good and came with a post of hot water. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
Had regular haddock and I have to say it was beautiful. The girl that served us was very jolly and made us think she loves her job. I would definitely recommend if you're visiting helmsley.
Beautiful fish and chips, we ate in the cafe as the take away was super busy (usually a good sign). The service was excellent, very quick and friendly.
Great tasting fish and chips - excellent value!
Fantastic gluten free battered fish! Makes a nice change for it to be an option, not all fish and chip shops do this which is a shame as I believe lots of people these days would opt for it.
My mum said best fish and chips she had had for a long time!, praise indeed!,
Enjoyed my curry and chips too, sat inside the cafe nice and cosy on a cold October day 🙂
