Excellent food. Reasonable prices. The salt and garlic ribs and prawns starters were really good, as well as the satay chicken skewers.
Decent portions. Was a Monday night so quite quiet.
Fairly spicy mains so if you want less spice say so! They can adjust the recipe within reason.
Very friendly staff.

From first entering the restaurant we were greeted with friendly staff.
We opted for the 2 courses for £9.50 (plus supplements) as it was good value for money.
For starters I had the Salt and Pepper Chicken Pieces (for an extra £2 to the set menu).
A generous portion of delicious Chicken.
For main I had the Beef Curry, Fried Rice and Chips. (Chips was an extra £3).
This was a huge portion, very filling.
I very much enjoyed the food and the service was good.
I have only given 4 stars to this establishment as it does need a redecoration inside.
First time for lunch portions huge couldn't finish it but was allowed to take home definitely will be back food was amazing

Cracking meal, all the food was spot on. Busy for take aways but no other sitting guests while we were in which was a shame.

Lovely fresh food, the staff were very welcoming, infact they made a point of saying goodbye even though we were outside. Restaurant was quiet but don't let that put you off as the food was lovely and the service was great 👌
Visited last night, the soups were so tasty, freshly made and piping hot. Good selection of Malaysian dishes which were awesome had the chefs special, authentic and tasty. Also had the duck and mushroom, no skimping on the duck absolutely gorgeous. Staff very friendly and the chef came out to ask about his food. No alcohol but you can BYO
Had an amazing meal here for first time visiting. My wife and I had soups to start with. I had a pork curry and my wife had a king prawn meal. Everything was hot fresh and tasty. I myself wasn’t that hungry after my soup so I asked for my curry to take away and the lovely gentleman owner came to make sure the food was ok and he was worried I didn’t like food. Everything was 10/10 and anytime we visit helensburgh we will definitely eat here.
Was here for a 2 night getaway I treated my fiancee for her birthday. She wanted Chinese on her birthday and I found this restaurant. We also found out it's new. Staff was very friendly and the meal very delicious with ample portion size. Highly recommend to the locals.
Nice food but I wasn't overly impressed by the chicken curry. The curry sauce seemed a bit bland but my partner had Kung po chicken and it was lovely. Reasonable prices too at £8 each for a 2 course lunch.
The £20 takeaway meal for two is a real gem, a good selection and generous portions. We have it often.
First time, in a very long time, ordering a take out, and first time from a new establishment on Helensburgh waterfront; Bintang Emas. Staff friendly and helpful, Mr. Raymond the owner, and a most amiable character, was able to suggest the perfect combination for a choosy customer. The meal was beautifully prepared, portions generous, and most importantly, the food was delicious. Particularly the Vegetable Spring rolls, which were so fresh, crispy and delicately flavoured. Even the traditional Fortune Cookie, which was included, contained some helpful grains of wisdom.

This is the best Chinese Curry I have ever had,it was absolutely outstanding.The place was clean and tidy.Staff very helpful and friendly.As I was leaving I advised the Owner to open up a restaurant in Glasgow.
